Press Release - Where to now?

    ok , I have my press release written and its sitting here can anyone post sites where i can send my press release to? all new to this so any help will be much appericiated.

    My site is Uk based so do i only send to uk press site?

    In this forum and General Business I have seen listed multiple sites to submit your press release, matter to dig inside.

    I have a list of some here. You can stick to UK sites if it's regional info, or more general if it's more general news.

    I recommend that you do a Google search for "your-field news UK", where "your-field" is the field/industry/topic your press release aims to stir response. For each of the first 20 results you find, search the about/contact us/submit story and harvest the editor's email. Send manually the press release to each one of these addresses. These 20 emails will be more effective than submitting to 200 PR sites, even if only a fraction of them will pick up the story.

    I'm just coming by this thread to tell you, guys & gals, your opinions in here are so handy.
    George, your comment is just hitting it on the nail. It is really much more reasonable to contact the major sites and avoid submitting to hundreds of press release & distribution sites.
