Whats your view on interracial marriages and offspring?

I think it would be a great idea to have different races mixed up. Give it a few thousand years, we will have just one big race.

However, I have my own preference. For example, I would never marry a chicken.

 

No, not necessarilly. Since I have only really come across children born to white/black relationships, I must say, the children do not look cute at all. They tend to have this alsomt blond curly hair but with skin colour that does not seem to match the colour of hair.

Actually, this is not so. Asians (Indians and Chinese in the UK) almost always marry or are in relationships witha person of same race. THis is true at least here in the UK. With blacks, however, I tend to see almost every other black guy with a white woman. But in predominantly (or witha sizeable black community) black area, blacks tend to be with other blacks. It also varies between the black communities. West Indians in the UK tend to want to marry whites but other Afr0-Carribean communities such as Somalians (Africans) always tend to marry other Somalians, for example.

Really? I would have to disagree with that assessment. I think the US has a lot more forwarding thinking and progressive when it comes to the acceptance of interracial marriages.

Do keep in mind that interracial marriages are not all black and white (no pun).

In any event, I cannot say I ever intentionally set my sights on someone because of their race. If it happens, it happens, who cares... It's not like its interspecies marriage we are debating.. We are talking about humans...

Back when my parents got married a "mixed marriage" was a Catholic marring a Lutheran.

Off spring? Honestly, black babies are cutes babies around. My niece is no exception.

 

I am not a racist. In my opinion, mixed black/white kids are not cute yet little black kids can be. I don't know, but there is something about mixed children that I don't like.

 

I have been thinking about this thread a lot today (long driving trips at work today), I want to retract my previous statements and give a new opinion.

I actually DO agree and support interracial marriages if the man or woman is a decent person. I think what tainted my opinion was because of certain situations that I don't like. Here's an example:

I don't like to see a pretty [insert race here] woman married or dating a real scumbag type of guy. The most common situation where I live would be a white woman dating a black man with gold teeth that acts like a complete idiot. That's what bothers me and I don't support.

If I see a white woman and a man of another race dating, and the guy is a normal person who obviously has some self respect and brains, then I'm all for it. Matter of fact, I love to see good minority people. People that speak well, dress well, and are just all around good people. It gives me hope.

Some of you that live in the south understand where I'm coming from and what I'm trying to say, others may just call this another racist rant from a KKK member. I just really like to see well spoken, well dressed, well educated, and all around good minority people. It should be a much more common thing to see than it is. And yes, I do live in the south so things are different here than in say N.Y.

 

The problem I find with many black men is that they don't find black women attractive hence they date white women. I find that horrible. There was even a television program here about it.

 

A lot of kids of mixed race have to deal with resentment from both sides. 3 of my cousins are half African Americans and had to deal with a lot of that. Some of what you say reminds me of what I have heard a lot of times, and in most cases people making statements like yours are because of some sort of racism or their intent of keeping people of other races out of their own communities. Can you see where I'm coming from?

 

No, I love your honesty and believe the key is to give everybody a chance regardless of race.

 

Look it is really pretty simple. You can't have it both ways. You openly discriminate based on race - that makes you a racist.

You can deny it in your own mind, but to those of us with eyes, you have proven yourself a racist over and over with your comments.

Ironically, your comments meant to spare you that label seem to make it even more appropriate.

Just because he doesn't find the children of black/white cute? You may think he's racist, but certainly that's not a reason to think so. I don't find any children cute, that doesn't mean I'm anti-human.

Honest to God, I am not a racist. I have friends of every colour that live in the UK. I just don't like mixed breeding.

 

I know for a fact that Muslim men are allowed to marry christian and Jewish women but not hindu or buddhist ones. So what you're quoting probably doesn't mean what you think it does.

Also people do not choose their ethnicity, or the place where they were born while they choose their religion so there's an extra evil in racial and parochial bigotry.

 

So if you fell in love with a hot black chick and all your friends dissed you for it, how would you feel and what would you tell your kids why people treat them differently?

 

Muslims don't really choose their religion either. If they are born to Muslim parents, they too are Muslim. And depending on where they live, the only way to leave Islam is by death. So it's not always a choice.

 

Why? Honestly what reason is there to not like "mixed breeding"?

What reason could there be? To keep races pure?

What motivation is there to keep a race pure? other then that you think one race is superior to the other, and some how one is polluting or weakening the other?

 

You say that as if having a black friend means you can't have racist beliefs. The more you write the more ignorant you sound.
