Excuse me while I toot my horn a little. I am not 'huge' but I do have four PR5 directories I own right now Submit4Backlinks.com 2ListNow.com WRdir.com 2SearchSmart.com other directories and directory related projects I own: PhpldPros.com totalXsearch.com SearchingTech.com TotallyWebLinks.com 2SearchSites.com http:// dirsearches.googlepages.com (take away the space)
How to do PLUG I need it to get my PR4 directory jumping to PR7 @OP - what is the criteria of Big Directories? Well I have a PR6 directory that is very unknown --but its making sufficient bucks for me to be happy But I still think its not a big directory at all. I will officially declare it only after next update when it will become BIG. In my view my PR4 directory is bigger than my PR6. It has my favorite directory which I promoted hard but is languishing in G Sandbox- -- hopefully its time to come out of it now that its nearly 400 days old. Hoping for G BONANZA by next update.
Focus on hunting down strong links, links from really good sites only and a few bidding directories. If you are on the right sites when the update hits, you'll be surprised how much PR you can get. Even though I think it's wrong to focus on PR, focus on getting traffic and PR will come. Real traffic, not traffic exchanges. One way traffic.
Thanks -- I have been saving some $$$ to buy a PR8 link with 40 PR7 innerpages for $600/month That single link should gimme PR7 But need to save hard for $2K But whatever you say-- my main focus is PR. It this XXX fator that brings in the $$$$ for directories. I am very happy if I get 100 uniques per day and 2/3 submissions than 2000 uniques/day and no submission. To me --its the targetted traffic I want.
Well, agreed -its a good directory and very well respected. But how can you say Alive, Aviva, Sevenseek showing off?
Is ok, just saying, sites that are solid with traffic normally get a good PR boost, while those just focused on PR often drop and make the link worthless.
To answer this question for all ... plugging is the act of inserting a drug in one's anus, sounds scary ... I know. Plugging is exactly what one should do with all that PR that directory owners talk about on a regular basis because I strongly suggest you not stick you server where the sun doesn't shine. BTW: If directory owners keep flaunting PR publically, we are all going to end up with Google's big foot up our @$$ ... which sounds much less gratifying than some intoxicants.
Lol- Mike --thats the best Joke I ever saw on DP I didn't know you have such a great sense of humor. @ ErectDirectory-- directory owners have their own plans/strategies for their directories. For me -- I am going for PR with few of my directories and going for an AUTHORITATIVE directory for another which should be known in 2 years time If you are not going for PR --best of luck mate. Besides I find it interesting to read about people saying --Google will do this and that and that --whereas not even Larry Page knows how Google algo works
Honestly, I think Google works a lot like the human visitors. If you please them and make the site useable, you will eventually meet your goals. Maybe not as quickly as with msn and Y!, but once you get there, traffic will be about 30 times as high as with msn for the same keyterms and as long as you follow your strategy, you are going to move up as well. Once Google loves you, you really need to F up lose your positions.
http://www.nobledirectory.com --> Sizzler_Chetan http://www.venteboy.com --> Alang http://www.directorydump.com --> an0n http://directory.google.com --> Larry page and Sergey Brin Those man up there are great.
