wow...everybody got a good old school computer... my 1st computer is Compaq, pentium celeron, Window 98, 512MB and 40GB storage. Now, the computer no more exist since it already hardly damage because of virus.
My first was an old army surplus GRID computer..used to load 10 disks of M1 Abrams battle tank game. Lots of tedious fun with no kinda graphics.
That's a pretty new one too! But wow.. how did you survive on 40 GB.. especially in the early 20th century? lol
My first computer was a cheap computer my aunt ordered for me from TigerDirect. It had a Pentium 3 and an AGP card that doesn't support OpenGL.
My first was a Commodore 64 then an Amiga then I had school, studies... Now I'm stuck with PC's mostly but I've had my hands on Amstrad's, Spectrum's and Atari's. Feels funny when you run any game of those games through an emulator and to HDTV with Dolby Surround system. 8-bit music is still funky!
my first computer was a compaq 256ram computer that ran windows 2000 which was queer but i still did some good stuff. =)
Good to see so many ex Commodore users here 8 bit 'everything' is funky! I've still got a NES console
Is that a joke addressed at me? 8 bit is way way way too pixelized lol.. try saving your GIF images in 8 bit, you'll see it lol
Me too! Days typing in the code for Oregon Trail, weeks figuring out where i missed a " in the code and thought I was a computer guru when it all finally worked. Oh yea, graphics...who needed graphics? (Yes I am OLD!)
What a bi%@h! The first computer I ever used was while I was in grade school and it got me addicted so bad that I now (40 years later) work for IBM. It was a teletype machine that you dialed into mainframe stuff and put the phone set into two rubber cups. The games were stored on that yellow ribbon that had all the holes puched out of it. I stayed after school and played Star Trek for hours. Yep, I was one of them. The AV guy that everyone made fun of but now who's laughing while they fill people's orders at McDonalds?
Spamming? Yeah right. Sorry 80s and 90s "computers" (including consoles) get me excited! All I've got left is my NES and Atari 1040 STe - unless my spare P3 counts. I remember 'dubbing' Vic-20 tape programs from my friends around 84/85. So nasty, but so nice.
my first computer was an acorn electron all hail chuckie egg and eddie kids jump challange then an amiga 500 all hail batman returns and x-out then finally in 93 i got a 486 dx/2 with 4mb ram and a massive 400 mb hdd damn it was great seeing moving people on return to zork.
I just found out that my dad threw away his old Commodor 64 just recently lol!! I saw it and man it looked like a piece of garbage, but my dad said it made life easier for him. It took my mom 3 years to pay it of lol. - Regards
