Next time please dont PM me with junk stuff. If I can be of any genuine help, do feel free to PM me. :)

look at the history of palestine, it was called palestine in the first place and was colonized by arabs in the 7th century, these people have been there for a long time so what rights have the jews to come and claim it?

Didn't the british own the land prior to WW2? And they gave it to the jews, right?

So that's like you going and buying a home, only to have an American Indian pound on your door and say: Hey, wtf do you think you're doing? This is my land! I was here first!

But then, in reality of who was there first, the Jews were there even before the Palestinians. The Jews should play nice with the neighbors or there will never be peace. But like the post above says, if your neighbor won't even 'recognize' you, it's kind of hard to have any kind of real dialog.

It's all about religion in the end. This is why I have issues with religion, it always causes big problems. Some religions cause more than others, but they all seem to stir up some dust.

I'm not talking about re-written versions of Quran, I'm talking about the Quran itself... But again, remember, you said that you did not read it.

    Meet schizophrenic (aka ferret).

It's kind of amazing that those that claim to know so much have become so ignorant. I guess when you have such a cushy, easy job (being a collAge professor), you kind of get bored and need to assume some alternate reality to make your job more interesting.

What ever happened to teaching history, art, science, math? It's been replaced with teaching negative opinions.

Another stellar drive by post. Please stop wasting our time. If you want to get your post count up that bad, go back to the DMOZ threads.

There was a 6th Century, before the 7th... In fact, there was a "BC" series of centuries that pre-dates the existence of Arabs, Islam, and Palestine.

Guess who inhabited that land? Dem, dirty Jews...

The level of ignorance exhibited by those who profess to follow a religion that they know nothing about astounds me to no end.

Why? Are you running out of posts there to give your anonymous red reps.

If they tie the Iraqis hands and make sure that they have no weapons and let you shoot and kill them from behind a wall, so they won't even see you; do you think you will have the courage to participate in the war or will you be still too scared? :D

The only reason Jews haven't found peace with Palestine, is that neither the neighbors nor the main powers of the world want peace over there...

Peace means no money and it also means Middle East unity which can be disastrous.

Peace isn't something you find. It's something you defend. When 26% of the Muslim world (in the US alone) condones suicide bombing, it's kinda hard to find peace in a people whose sole purpose in life is to kill. Meanwhile the Gentiles continue to see home made rockets fired at them on a regular basis by a group of people sanctioned by the UN.

It certainly is a strange world.

Your still not getting to the point..
UK and Israel/Palestine fall under a totally different equation.
Every country is inhabited by one group of people at a point of time or the other
the fact remains in actually identifying the other and give respect to them which
definitely has'nt been what the palestinians or their fellow islamic countries have done. When you respect the other person and their feelings only then can you really talk about getting respect. You cannot expect to actually have people even bothering about you when you say "Israel has no right to exist" and "All those who dont follow my path should be burnt in hell"

I'm Italian, so you might want to start packing...

No one is asking anyone to leave. I think all anyone wants in Palestine is for people to stop claiming by virtue of a suicide bomber that only Palestine should exist. If these ingrate worthless sacks of shit would just stop blowing things up, Palestinians would find support from places other than the UN.

Agreed, and the arabs should stop supporting Hamas because Hamas only makes things worse, both - with the relations with Israel (sending rockets on sderot) and with the self-killing in gaza.

Britain was given the land under a mandate from the League of Nations after the Ottoman Empire's defeat in world war I. Palestine (which included Transjordan) went to the British, and Syria and Lebanon went to the French. The land was then partitioned between the Jews and the Arabs by the UN after world war II, with plenty of room for both sides.

However the French who were ruling over Syria at the time expelled our client king Faisal from Syria. The British then installed Faisal on the Baghdad throne, which left Abdullah, who had been promised Iraq, without a kingdom. Therefore we used part of the partitioned Palestinian land for Abdullah's throne, and he became king of Transjordan. This cut down the national home by a large size. Transjordan then (illegally) occupied the remaining Palestinian land of the West Bank, and changed their name to Jordan, which scuppered any hope of an Arab country of 'Palestine' completely.

So really, the Jews who live in what is now Israel have little responsibility for that whole fiasco. When they occupied the West Bank and other Palestinian land in 1967 it was simply passing from one occupier to another.

The whole thing could have been sorted at Camp David if Arafat had just made the transition from terrorist to statesman.

Not possible though. Arafat was just that, a terrorist; not a statesmen.

Meanwhile, let us not forget we had Clinton in the middle. Here's a guy that cannot even control peace with his own wife trying negotiate peace with a PLO Terrorist and a Free state.

He was old... Old people tend to die, usually of natural causes. Guys like Arafat will send their people's children off with bomb strapped to their chests to kill themselves and others, but never once do you see these guys offer themselves up as the vessel of murder. I wonder why that is...
