Hello, Any one know where is the cheapest .net register? I know tierra.net is only around $5.5. Any register cheaper than that? Thanks. Max
I didn't see anyone lower than this Most of the registrars sell .net the same as .com even if they cost them lower than .com
You can get 2 for $10 at GoDaddy occasionally. Just need to be there at the right moment when promotion is on.
If you want to get the promo of GoDaddy then maybe it also usefull to take some eggs to hatch because you should wait a lot in front of your monitor or maybe start a promo code treasure hunt at the web GoDaddy sucks
It's not that bad atcually There are websites that gather all GD promo codes in one place, that if you aren't subscribed to their promo alerts. Otherwise I get them a few times every week. If Godaddy sucks then who doesn't?
Well if GoDaddy shifted away from the position of "company" and took the place "rule of excellence" then things are very bad What i mean is that GoDaddy sucks and surely together with many others (i never said he's the only one) but the attention and preference GoDaddy gets is not relative with the quality of their services It's just a company and not the ultimate domain name (and web hosting place) as many people thing. It has many flaws, a good percentage of risk, ignorant support and many others that doesn't make him the 1st registrar of the world I wrote in more than one topics that GoDaddy is a registrar everybody should avoid but to be honest i'm bored with ..... my self Last time i received 4 negative reputations by saying this It seems people are overpowered from the marketing and ads which i congratulate for their excellent work but isn't it time for Mr.Parsons to step down from this thrown and see the serious problems of his organization ? Their arrogant and totally non friendly attitude "i rule the internet domain names and do whatever i want", or the "i was chosen from internet users to decide what is good or what is bad and i will do it in the name of the million votes/domains all these users gave me" What troubles me is that GoDaddy has no magical power and of course not the best boobs of the world in his ads I do care why the other registrars deliberately don't follow his route Is it because they see something we don't know or maybe they are all incompetent and dumb to do what GD does ? Now that i'm writing these lines i had an idea for a new topic "Do you think PlayBoy can overrule GoDaddy if it become an ICANN registrar?"
Well, I myself am too busy to participate at debates related to GoDaddy services. It's just becoming sickening to read endless copies and pastes around "Godaddy are good at selling domains, they are horrible at providing hosting and should stay away from it". I am: - Using them for domains, no problems. - using them for hosting, no problems. Whenever I have a problem, I give them a call. - Longest wait time ever: 7 minutes. - Shortest wait time: instant response. Now, after all that, if I had to give up and move my domains somewhere else, I'd probably go to Dotster. Not trusting any other company and that is something each of us decides after his own judgements. We should not care about their throne or whatever. Just care about your business with them. Mine is ok, so I'm fine. As for security issues, I am feeling my domains pretty secure with GoDaddy, so I'm staying. Again, you decide for yourself. So you can blame no one if something goes wrong.
You're right My average response time is ... 3 days, they sent money (from tdnam sale) to another person, the support don't know their own system and i try to explain to them how it works This is very true "each of us decides after his own judgements" From our two totally different examples looks like GoDaddy is not so solid afterall
so whats better than godaddy and when i sell a domain how does the part about me having the domain registered for two years transfer over the new buyer?? and do i have to keep paying the annual fee for a domain i sold??? let me know thx....
There is good and bad with all of the companies. The history of the domain shows up for any domain no matter who owns it. Once you transfer it, the new owner starts to pay the register fee. I prefer name cheap because it is easy to do transfers and such but I have used Godaddy before and did not have any major problems. I hate Ipower because you have to go through all kinds of paper work to sell a domain to someone. It can not be done Online. You have to decide for yourself and if you are not happy with one, just transfer your domain to another register.
When you register a domain you have to consider the reputation and reliability of the register. You can get them from GoDaddy.com for $5.99 when you use a coupon such as: gdm0431.
yea godaddy are the most reliable registrar plus the only registrar that can accept paypal no other registrar can accept paypal godaddy take care of welfare of its client
Domainsite.com and Name.com (the same company) accepts Paypal and their price is standard $6.99 for .com
Also you have to read the Terms of Service (TOS) of each registrar Read and compare GoDaddy TOS with other registrars You will see that with these terms you can't do anything, GoDaddy can take your domain for any reason and you can't say even why
