well, PR itself doesn't guarantee a directory can be one of "big boys" I don't think. But yes, it is one of big factors. In my view, a big directory is one that generates good amount of $. It simply shows how successful that directory is, a big factor
i mean big directory owners! people who owns big directories!! page rank- page strength- traffic[i know alexa ranks are not important, but then getting arround 10k alexa ranks are also not easy, and aviva is under 10k alexa rank] earning money is important, but then it is though to know, who is earning, how much! but then big web links directory is a bid directory, where the top bid is $1000, so we can understand, that site is making some huge bucks!

i agree to a certain extent. But must not forget how much $$ goes out too. Now even though there is $$ coming in, most of it goes out again, so in the end very little in cash till but in long term, cash till should be fuller...... i hope
