Of course not, just dunno what tomorrow brings and which ones will be banned.

 

At these prices why worry about tomorrow?

The way I see it a PPC campaign would cost me $1 in less than an hour. If the link lasts a few months, even a weak promotional effort should get me 10 clicks! So I am still ahead.

Bid directories are still one of the best buys out there ... no matter how you stack them up against other forms of advertising.

 

Totally agree, but when I decide which one to bid myself on top of, that is when I become more selective.

 

It costs more than $3 of my time to analyze a site to any real depth ... so if I can get on the home page for that amount I just go ahead and bid.

Higher bids get increasing amounts of my attention!

I will look at back links, traffic, page strength, estimated future PR, and even the owners rank history for any real money bids.

I have been working down my list, just hadn't got there yet ...

Not your FIRST bidder but since you asked nicely ...

 

That is what I was thinking.....it costs me so much to even do this, that why not start at $5.00.
Of course, it depends on the directory and the current bids, but if not any or very few at $5.00, I am at the top for a bit and can always rebid if the directory is worth it traffic wise.

But how to tell if a bid directory is using no-follow?
Those I would bypass if I knew which ones.

 

There has been very few reported with nofollow ... and those were all corrected to my knowledge.

Bid directories submitted to this thread are checked pretty closely by other directory owners ... as well as the actions of the webmasters. I try to pay attention to complaints before approving these sites.

So I think you can trust the directories approved for this list.

That's an idea for me to work on.
