Just want to compare my Google bounce rate with others because I think mine is pretty high. Bounce rate is the percentage of single-page visits (i.e. visits in which the person left your site from the entrance page). My Google bounce rate is 80%. What's yours (make sure not to post you overall site bounce, just google's)?
How do you find just google's bounce rate? In google analytics i see just overall site bounce wich is 47%.
It depends very much on your niche and kewords, I wouldn't go cmapring site with site, its just not a usefull comaprison.
Depends what the keywords are for me. On my polling site I get hits from all sorts of keywords (many polls), and the average bounce rate is 77%. When they come from Google with keyword "Create a poll" the bounce rate is 15%.
Bounce rate for Google is 69%, which isn't all that good AT ALL- my site is a webmaster, making money online, blogging tips kind of site. My bounce rate could definitely use to go lower.
68.17% Bounce rate from Google visitors for my site. I wonder how Google uses this information! I wonder if Google sees a high bounce rate as... 1: Google sent the searcher to the right page, and the searcher did not need to click around the site because the info they searched for was on that page. Or... 2: Google sent the searcher to the wrong page and the searcher did not think the site would have the information they searched for so they exited the page. And also, does Google see a low bounce rate as... 1: Google sent the searcher to the right "site" but the searcher needed to dig deeper into the site to find the right page. Or... 2: Google sent the searcher to the right "site" and the searcher found the site interesting and clicked around. How would Google know if they sent the searcher to a site where the searcher clicked around but could not find what they wanted... So how does Google use this info? Anyone know? Cheers James
Anything below 25% is excellent, I'm still trying to break the 50% mark for one of my sites. Kinda tough.
31% when i view by day, i see some days as low as 22%, but there are other days where its over 40% (data is probably getting skewed somewhere)
do you think that a high bounce rate negatively influences SERP? after all, your main page is where u do most of the business right?
FREE BET It looks like I am in the same industry as you and I do a lot of my business several pages back from my homepage. It may be worth you looking at how your marketing as the homepage can only hold so much. Just a thought
