Whats your view on interracial marriages and offspring?

I think it will be more like 200 years from now that races will not even exist anymore, everyone is going to be a little bit of something. If the world still exists in 200 years that is.

 

My opinions are not based on the quality of people of whatever race. You guys keep spinning this into a derogatory thing, it's not. I'm not saying women on [insert race here] are better people than this other race. Geez.

So far in this thread, for stating my preference and opinion, I have been called: redneck, white trash, bigot, racist, kkk member, and those are just the ones I remember off the top of my head. You guys are way over sensitive about race.

 

200 years is very short. That's only a few generations. It would take at least 2000 years.

 

TBH I only read the first post in this thread and gave my 2 cents without reading the rest, so this was not in response to anything you've said.

 

Maybe I'm biased cause my fam is a living rainbow. My daughter is going to be the only "pure white" kid out of all the kids, everyone of my cousins seems to marry outside of the white race.

 

It's going to take a lot longer than 200 years. You have to think about remote areas of the world like Africa and such. It's going to be a long time before their pureness is penetrated by outsiders. See I don't think there is anything wrong with a pure race. From pure blacks to pure whites or whatever other race. I find it interesting that a race is actually pure and natural. One day there won't be such a thing and people will only read about it in history books. Everyone will probably end up having a latino type skin color and probably have a hint of asian type slant in their eyes. Who has the biggest population in the world? Asians or...latino? Black maybe?

 

You're probably right. But then again, hasn't the percentage of interracial marriages increased drastically in the past few years. Just saying, I see a trend here. Not sure why, maybe thru the media, being able to hook up online and such. Never know, but I see a snowball effect taking place here.

 

Well, in your first sentence, I think you've mixed several things. Africans come from Africa. These broadly include those of arab descent, as well as those of negro descent. Within each of these two "houses," an infinite variety of gradation as a result of the very thing you mention - the 3000 years of the future has already happened - intermixing has been taking place for, at least, a little while, I'd guess, since Og got need for ug by seeing Yg across the river, washing pelts.

"Russians." Folks from a place, not a "race." Totally up in the air as to what constitutes "Russian," much less "Slav" and "East Slav." The paleohistory and ethography is hotly debated.

Asians. I will admit I know extremely little about the demographic paleo-history of asiatic people. Still, the etymology between ancient asian populations and modern day native american tribes is an interesting one.

My point is that we have been too long one big globe of incredibly horny moving things. It has meant that whatever "purity" existed at one point in time, if it ever did (I'd be curious to look into this more, from an evolutionary perspective) has long disappeared.

I forget the study - but it came out over the last couple of years. The gene "share" between "races" is ridiculously huge - virtually the same, down to an infinitessimaly small degree of difference. I would like to read the study in more depth, now.

Yea but most parts of the world don't even have other races living among them. You could drive thru Africa for days and see nothing but villages of pure 100% black Africans. I'm sure there are tons of pure asian type people living in villages in that part of the world too. Mostly only big industrial nations have interracial marriages and offspring, at least I would assume so...

 

The majority of people will be mixed race much sooner. There will be areas where this is not the case where race is limited like Japan but Latin america is largely mixed race already. Europe will get there soon, if Africa moves ahead economically and stabilizes politically, diversity would follow.

 

That's what I mean by Africans. The tall, very dark tribesman type. I can assure you, there have been no white men in his past lol. He is probably as pure as you can be.

And as far as Russians go, many of the white people in Russia are such a pure white skin color, it's hard to believe they have ever been interracial. The Russian thing is really just based on stereo types I guess. When I think about a white Russian man, I instantly think of a huge snow white skinned man with blonde or light brownish hair. Maybe I watch too much TV =P

 

Let me say it this way.

Take 100 people, put them in a room, in order of skin color, from "pearly white" to "blue-black."

Pick the one that "cuts off" between white and black. You will have declared a "race" by the color of skin, but you will have made an arbitrary cutoff. The shades between will likely mean someone else will pick another person. And so on. Your picture above - likely, yes, a very dense family history of geographically concentrated populations. But he differs, no doubt, from even his brother, in darkness, and all the other features we associate with negro traits. So, it is not "either or," but a continuum. "Race" is a construct, that's all.

 

what if it goes opposite of that

there are so many different races, and if they spilit more i wonder what's gonna happen, point here is about marrige and its really not in your hands, its not always that you marry who you really want to, doesnt happen all time.

I think Middle Eastern people (the people with straight hair and not people people from North Africa with sort curly hair) and people from the Indian subcontinent belong to the same race. They look very alike.

I have noticed that in the UK, Asians prefer to marry within their own race, but people of Afro-Caribbean origin tend to want to marry whites.

 

I think children of mixed marriages are cute

In every race, there are an equal amount of people who are always looking the "other" way, this has been happening for thousands of years, it's not new.

Essentially if you think there is something "wrong" with inter racial couples, you are basically a racist. I mean what other reason is there to think inter-racial couples are "wrong" other then racist ones.

Personal preference , opinion etc would be "hey I don't find <insert some race> attractive, so I don't date them"

But once you start think other people are "wrong" for being with people outside their race, thats racism isn't it?
