Whats your view on interracial marriages and offspring?

ly2 I was asking for the reasons why someone would be against interracial marriages if it is not affecting that individual person. Your previous post stated your preference, I didn't see a post where you said you personally was against interracial marriage. Someone having a preference in my opinion is different from someone being against something. Now I remember you wrote that you have friends that are against interracial marriage. I was asking why would they care about who marry someone of another "race," if no one is forcing them to do the same... but I see you never questioned your friends on that matter, so I guess you wouldn't be able to answer the question. (unless you also share the same ideology, but if that is the case, the reasons given does not justify such a stance. )

When it is a love marriage, why not?
If the couple is able to adjust to each others cultural background, the only hindrance in most cases, then it is a great contribution to cultural understanding.

If it is a calculated marriage for gains, then I'm all against it.

 

Here in England,even though marriages between black men and white women (not so much between black women and white men though) is quite common, I do notice they tend to get stares in the streets even though they might not necessarily be a couple (albeit there is a good chance they might be). I guess mixed relationships is still frowned upon.

 

well i would say it depends more on the person, if he/she is madly in love then race doesn't matter, if you are gonna go for arrange marriage then well good to marry within your own community as straight as that.

 

From my point of view the best looking people are almost invariably of mixed ethnicity. This has also been proven in scientific studies

They usually do make for good looking people. I like the fact that mixing with whites gets rid of our pasty ass skin color but usually keeps the features I like such as hair and eyes.

I don't find any children to be all that cute or visually appealing. They all look the same, ugly!

I take that back, once a kid reaches like 5-10 years old, they finally start to develop facial features that you can look at and appreciate. But babies under 5 are just like like little balls of fat and slobber lol

And I assume the people around me have the same reasons. One of my top 3 best friends will only date black girls. We give him TONS of shit for it, in a fun way. If you knew him and what he looked like, you would understand.

The latest joke is about this black girl telling him she wanted him to be her white gorilla Tarzan. So he shaved his entire body, made some kind of loin cloth and got a hotel room. She wanted the loin cloth to be leopard print, but he couldn't find leopard print so just made it out of a tan colored t-shirt.

To make a long story short, he did it all and in the end still didn't get any. We have countless stories about him that are even better than that but I probably shouldn't share them here. Point is, you are giving too much weight to my personal beliefs on interacial marriage. It's just a personal preference and something I don't agree with. Nothing more and nothing less.

This is the most openly truthful post on the entire thread. Stand up for your opinion, a strong conservative you are and proud of you I am. Listening to the rest of you chumps bicker like so only reminds me why I ignore most of the topics here at DP.

A simple question is "Why would you want to make childhood any harder than it already is?" No there is absolutely nothing wrong with mixed children as long as their parents have planned for it (along with college, etc.), because they are going to have a bit of a problem fitting in. Children, regardless of color, are naturally cruel to each other. For every Tiger Woods that turned out ok there are 10,000 examples of people who didn't ... And it all stems from who your parents are and how happy your childhood was.

I think the biggest point that has not been spoken here is that if the races all have one big orgy, we will all end up looking the same. And, if you are honest, you will find several races that turn you on (and off). If we are all mutts, that choice will no longer exist.

The world sucks, at least as it stands now. Following your line, don't have children - they will experience challenges not of their asking. But we have kids because we love our partner, and want the joy they bring as they grow to become who they will become. We prepare them for the world the best we can and by this line, our species continues. It is a biological imperative, at least for many, it would seem, but it has its rewards that cannot be measured.

On your other points:

I rather think children raised with respect (for oneself, for others) and given love, regardless of what mix of blood courses through them, will tend to do better than kids raised poorly but of "intraracial" breeding. Being mixed race is the last of one's worries, isn't it? How about parents who give a damn, to protect, provide for, to nurture, to teach?

Your last point - your "biggest point" - is absolutely, ridiculously just off, in my opinion - "end up looking the same" obtains more by procreation between races than by getting jiggy within one's strict version of "race?" 20 exemplary "whites" (where are these pure caucasians?) put in a room, the result will somehow be more "interestingly different" than a random mixing of people, irrespective of race?

Oh, and I am honest: no one race turns me on, or off, more than any other race. My beloved wife notwithstanding, there are plenty of heartstoppers from every color.

Finally, all this talk of race.

Please tell me who is "white," who "is" any other race anyone would care to mention, for that matter? The categories we use to describe ourselves are convenient, perhaps, in some worlds, but the reality is none of us is "pure" race. It is an utterly artificial construct. I know myself, mostly French, but I've got a goodly amount of Indian in me, and would expect a host of other gene gifts if I dug further. Nothing special. I'd venture so go we all, if we look deeply enough.

 

I wouldn't call myself a conservitive. On some things yes, others I'd be called liberal.

Dude, you should go to Limon, Costa Rica and see how beautiful people of mixed races can be. Seriously, I appreciate your honesty and openness, but think you are very wrong here. Race should never matter. I have had so many white chicks do me wrong, at this point and time race is the least of my concern when hooking up with or dating someone.

 

That's not true at all. MANY africans are pure, many russians and asians are pure, there are tons of pure races left in the world. In reality, after another 3000 or so years, there will indeed only be one race because of all the intermixing. It won't be such a bad thing, maybe a bit boring, but not bad. It will certainly get rid of racism lol
