    the question is not, whether it shld be paid or not, but rather whether it is QUALITY OR NOT.... ;)

    ohhh i get it quality QBCs (Quick Buck Crew ) :p

    Like when i bought sleek before it was totally redone...

    Had 3,000 + crap submittions and spam till i went 1 by 1
    threw the whole list and weeded out the crap that took me almost a week
    to go threw as the previous owner just opened the doors and forgot all about it

    They have mass editors that work for free to keep the directory clean.

    I voted for Both/Any as there is no difference between them. What is the difference between DMOZ and Yahoo Dir?

    The zest is --one needs as many backlinks as possible. No mater if they come free or paid. Ofcourse one would always appreciate free links:D

    Since its all about backlinks and if it comes for Free and a good backlink it is than why not free but offcourse you get quality backlinks from paid directories only so i'll vote for both!

    It's not a matter of a directory being "paid" or "free". It's whether quality or not.

    Low quality directories can get panalized whether it's offering free or paid listings ;)

    I think it around 50/50 for quality whether free or paid but they must be quality directories

    I think that both are welcome to a site, no matter paid or free, SEs like all of them thats the point. It has free SEO friendly directories better than some paid and the opposite:D is often as well.

    The best thing anyone can do is list with the 4 directories in my signature. :) And you can get permanent links in these bidding web directories for only a buck!
