I gave it a try and ordered 5000, seems like a good, practical website recycling idea.

Thanks, it's deffinatily an i-trader. Over 60% completed already.
What I suggest and if that would be possible is to add some sub categories.

It is nice that you can split the traffic to other pages. Going to try that next within next month.

    Here is some update.
I have bought 5000 unique. So far after 12 hours, my site received 10 visitors. This stats is from my site and not from the control panel.

All "visitors" only view the first page. My Google Analytics does not show up or detect any traffic at all. It could be all the visitors have turned off their Javascript ??

    From my experience,
    1) normal "targeted" users would at least go for 2-3 pages before bounce off. This traffic give 100% bounce rate. Maybe it is too early but my normal traffic before this is also about 10 per day.
    2) I have never come across where 100% users turned off the Javascript. It is not normal to me. Will wait until 0 GMT to check my Google Analytics again.
    3) A trace of the IP address does not lead to any domain. I could be wrong but normally you should be able to detect the domain name where the visitor come from. Also, looks like most IP are local IP ???

Will continue to monitor this and will update accordingly.

    Cheers.

    Here is more update.

Most of the IPs are either not associated to any domain or come directly from mainland China.

If your site is 100% English, you might have a very high bounce rate as these people mostly don't speak or read English.

Check your IP here : hostip.info

    Hope that helps.

mattsofi - I just checked on your campaign and picked up the fiirst 100 IP's from your campaign center IP stats. I then went to ipligence.com and checked the IP address locations.

    Here's what I found:

97 IP's are from the US
    3 are from Russia

    Here are the screenshots:

    http://www.targeted-traffic.net/ip1.jpg
    http://www.targeted-traffic.net/ip2.jpg

This is even though you ordered 'English language visitors' and not US traffic (which is sold at a premium).

As for your other questions, please read our FAQ page. We DONT guarantee clicks/sales, only visitors. Whether the visitors click on your site or close the page is dependent on many factors such as :-

    a. If they find your website appealing enough
    b. If they are interested to know more about your products/service
    c. The navigational ease of your site
    d. The state of mind of the visitor - if he is in the buying mode, research mode etc.
    e. The price of your products/services

    and many more factors.

What my advice is that you make a seperate landing page for the traffic you buy from us and put up an enticing offer which you are sure will get a high CTR. That is the way most of our customers do it.

If we were to redirect each and every domain of ours (we own thousands of domains) to each and every customers website it would be impossible as we would be spending all our time doing nothing else but managing domains.

Here's how it works - We use a sophisticated (read expensive :)) software program that manages our domain traffic. We have divided the traffic into broad categories (the same ones you can see on our website) and we then have an option of redirecting this category traffic to various customer's url's. For eg - if you open our campaign center, you have an option to split the traffic to another url or many url's, pause the campaign etc. If we were to manage this manually it would not be possible. It is all automatically done with the help of custom software.

I hope this answers your question. In case you still have doubts, please feel free to ask.

    Cheers

I've tried many services like this before ... expired domain redirects. In my experience it was completely useless with about a 99.5% bounce rate.

It does seem like a good idea but the problem is users are being tricked in a sense which they dont like.

If I to go www.xyz.com and then get redirected to www.abc.com that annoys me and I feel like I am being tricked so close my browser immediately.

    Its unfortunate but its true.

I'd like to hear anyone that has positive experiences from this service.

On another note not sure how Google would value this traffic from an adsense perspective?

Good luck with it though I does seem like a good idea but getting actual conversions is quite hard.

Ruby - I dont know which service you tried (it would be helpful if you name it here) but a 99.5% bounce rate probably means you're getting automated hits from a bot and not genuine expired domain traffic.

Its true that people dont like being redirected but if what they see interests them and holds their attention, you can get a decent CTR. If you buy targeted traffic from expired domains, we recommend setting up a special landing page which is designed to hold the user's attention and offer something of real value. You should get someone to make this landing page for you if you cannot do it your self - http://www.getlandingpages.com/ might be a good choice for eg.

Here's one of their landing page examples:

Not creating a landing page for such traffic is one of the MAIN reasons why advertisers fail to get CTR.

Having said that, we DO NOT GUARANTEE CTR. What we do guarantee is that you will get 100% genuine REAL VISITORS to your site and not hits from some bot.

Oh yes I am not putting your service down just was letting people know my experience was with another similar service.

I didn't have a specially designed landing page so that would definetely have resulted in bounces.

Agree with the right landing page suited to the audience the results would be better.
