I already explained to you. That quote is from from the Original Post. I don't understand why you are being so defensive about it. My comment about this thread being racist is based on the Original Post of this thread. Which I carefully quoted for you so you would know exactly why I called the OP a racist.

Nobody says you said that quote. Again, it was the ORIGINAL POST of this whole thread. However, if you agree with the comments about mixed children, then my calling the original poster a racist would apply to you as well - but it was directed at his thread.

Since you seem confused thinking I was addressing you, I will not bother to address the rest of your comments.

All the people on my top friends list are friends in real life.
As you can see, 3 or 4 latinos, 1 asian, 2 blacks, and 1...uh...I don't even know what her race is but it's not white.
Point is, just because I don't agree with the topic, DOESN'T mean I'm racist. I know PLENTY of friends other than whites who are against interracial marriages as well, does that make them racist? No.

Why are your friends against interracial marriage? No one is forcing them to marry someone of a different race, so what is their problem with it?

Those against inter-racial marriage/relationships should watch "a bronx tale" (1993) it gets into this pretty well, actually. And has some good things to think about there It's a damn good movie too!

 

No, when someone tells me their different opinion/view, I ask the person why do they have such a opinion. You can learn a lot about a person that way.
If a person is not ashamed of their opinion, then why not explain the reason you have come to that opinion?

I find it amazing that people like ferret never have an issue with this when one group is at hand, but when someone else states a "preference" they are suddenly persecuted. The hypocrisy never ceases to amaze me.

I used to go out with this girl looked like junoir version of heather hunter, what a pain in ass she was.

 

I don't know why they feel this way.

For me, it's a couple reasons.

A. I'm not attracted to other races. I do find latin or south american women to be very attractive, but other than that I am really only attracted to my own race.

B. Cultural differences, usually they are very big differences, not just small things.

C. Comfort level. Whether it be privately or in public, I tend to feel much more comfortable with females...and even males for that matter, of the same race.

D. Acceptance from: employers, friends, family, neighbors. Not to say any of the groups I just named would object, but there could certainly be some friction in some situations.

Is it really worth the trouble? If you can find a b/f or g/f of the same race, why wouldn't you? Not to say you should turn down someone if you actually care for them, but to actively seek out the above problems doesn't make sense to me.
