I've been putting a lot time into tweaking and promoting my new personal blog recently and I thought you folks here at DP might give me some good reviews to help me improve it even more. New blog and already has a pr 4? not bad. A good way to get some traffic from popular blogs lately is getting a ReviewMe
Thanks. I went from a PR 0 to PR 4 in the last PR update from Google. I was just as shocked when I saw it. I think a lot of it has to do with the direct link from my other site (which is a PR 4) and a direct link from JohnChow.com (which is a PR 6). As for getting a ReviewMe review, I've been considering that lately but I have yet to find a site that I think would fit well with my "anything goes" type of blogging. Thanks again for the response!
The design is okay, However: The header design needs to be changed.. it doesn't correlate well with your site's name at all. I love how the content area is organized however.
The header image is the Cincinnati skyline which is my hometown. Granted it's not the best choice but I thought it looked better than well... crap itself. LOL Anyone have any suggestions for a new header pic that might be more fitting?
So it took you 2 years to get PR 4? You could have done it faster then that if you worked hard on promotion.. I can't load site. seems like godaddy hosted sites have been a problem for me.
I've owned the domain for a couple years but only really started actively blogging on it back in December of last year. So basically it took me about six months to get a PR 4. Granted I could have/should have done it faster but building a base for a blog has been a new experience for me. Unsure why you couldn't load the site... no downtime notifications for me. It's not GoDaddy hosted though. I host it on dedicated server from ThePlanet which I've never heard anyone having a problem with at all. Anyone else having trouble reaching it? EDIT: Looks like ThePlanet was doing router maintenance last night between 1am and 5am so if you were visiting during that time and got an error I apologize.
well not bad at all , i agree that the header should be changed, you need a custom designed header that will be suitable for "everyday crap", a header with cool cartoons or something.

Thanks man. After all the mentions here about the header image I think I may run a contest on the site to get ideas/designs for a new one. As for the diet, it's going well... I've lost 14 lbs. so far!
