if you place a link on a high traffic or a strong PR site you can get your domain indexed really fast.

Simple i place link on 2 of my directories main pages :D . Google really indexes them good daily :D

I thought with others it was coincidence but this time i wanted to confirm :) so placed link on 2 domains only. And ofcourse posted it on dp which now happens to be like on 2 - 3 deep inner pages now

is this just part of Google's "fresh content crawling", and then it drops you after a few days?

Its about getting indexed on google. Site:www.mycharitybids.com showed nothing, now it does. Its not about keywords competition or anything its just about getting indexed. You can check google if you like every day and see if its dropped ( i do not know how that can happen or in what context you meant)

    Cheers

All my sites have been indexed really quick (with in three days). None of them have been dropped. My new blog was indexed from one link on a post on here in 48 hours and has made it to page one in less than two weeks. Google seems to be indexing much quicker than they use to.

I have not heard of this nor seen any sign of it. I think they drop you to supplemental if they find you are using duplicate content and they drop you if they ban you, but never heard of them indexing just because it is new and then sorts it out and drops you.

It's not a big deal, I experimented the same with websites and blogs and Google has successfully indexed them within 48 hours.

Indexing in search engines is not at all a problem. However, the problem is to rank high for the new domain!

For me it is mate , it just that, i think slapped someone bragging about some feature of their directory script saying oh it takes like 8 days for our script to get indexed. LOL funny , sorry will not post the link but most get the idea which script i am talking about.

Yes i agree, problem is to rank high for new domain :) Which is a big challenge, hell my like almost 2 year old domain www.a1whs.com is still not found on google for the keyword webhosting , so i know what you mean by competition and biggest challenge. :p

I also hear that you will get indexed faster if you put adsense onto the site. I am not sure if this is true, of course, but I have heard that it does have an effect on how fast you are indexed.

I just created my blog (new domain purchase) on Thursday and by Sunday it was already listed with Google. Now the hard part is getting it ranked for certain keywords. I have also heard of the adsence aiding in your google ranking, but that is just an urban legend right now until I can see proof of it.

its actually pretty easy.... just link to your new domain from some sites with PR and put some adsense codes on your site, along with analytics, and a sitemap. should be indexed within 24 hours

My blog was indexed in 48 hours also, and it has been crawled heavily ever since (Around 40 days now)
Brand new domain, brand new site, however, I did start with a lot of content, but not all at once.
I have heard that a dedicated IP (Which I have) helps a lot also. Anybody know anything about that?

Funny as it may seem, I submit the new site to MSN Live search and somehow Google indexes it from there. I have been having pretty good luck getting indexed by Google in 48 hours with new domains.
