My friend need help in vb to turn URL Friendly links . currently it show title.html anyone know how to make it thread-id.html and forum-id.html code attached . rep to all answers
If you want my honest opinion, i'd leave it as title.html as your getting keywords in your URL. I just don't see much point in having forum-1.html or thread-123.html as it really has no meaning. However if you really want to for whatever reason, change the .htaccess directive.
lol this is an already done vb friendly url , so i suppose it work . but wanted to make changes (my friend) and i never used vb so ...
well the URLs should be fine as they are.....if you dont want english URLs then dont post english threads....or do i miss the bigger picture??
oh! I thought my eyes have a defect BTW, I recommend you to leave it same threadtitle.html It helps yuo indexed more. There must be a way in .htaccess Though, I dont know much about .htaccess
The thread title will be part of the URL. So if the thread title is not in english, the URL will not be english either.
yes and this is why i dont want to integrate it in the url just want to have id.html instead of title.html
no i think they got it from the vb or some where on the web (the forum and the mod are not mine , just trying to help some friend)
sorry, missed that first time he is using vRewrite, same as me. Its not possible to use thread12334.html. He will need to uninstall vrewrite. Tell him to try zoints, they may support the other method.
