I have 2 Alaskan domains, I know they are good...but how good? www.GoAlaska.com - I feel this is very catchy and could be a portal site and www.FairbanksAlaska.com - this is the city and state of a major Alaskan city... could prove very valuable to local business owner or company marketing Fairbanks (travel/tourism business) Please let me know what you think about these, and how much I could get for each, also would/could they be worth more sold as a package deal. Thanks so much!
Goalaska.com great domain name for Travel and Guide type site and Has good Potential I'd say High $XX to $XXX
I think to the right person Fairbanks might hit high xxx or higher depending on how much they want it. GoAlaska is great make a small info domain to see the traffic. I could see some cruise or vacation industry wanting this domain. Just my opinion and only because they are .com
Thanks guys for your opinions, but I have to say... they are a lot lower than I expected, especially since I recently had an offer for GoAlaska.com for mid $xx,xxx.
Here are some comparable domain sales of past few years: BajaCalifornia.com sold for $95,000 MakatiCity.com sold for $20,000 PittsburghPa.com sold for $16,750 BuffaloNy.com sold for $15,000 VacationAlaska.com sold for $12,000
That's a pretty nice offer. Why have you rejected it? If I were you, I would sell it instantly before the buyer changes his mind.
I rejected the offer because I am not sure if I want to develop the site. Alaska is a growing travel destination, and there are not a lot of good online info sources for Alaska. GoAlaska.com is very brandable, yet generic enough to be used for many industries. In my opinion it is the best Alaskan domain on the market right now.
So I wish you good luck with it. Maybe you can make more of it if you develop a site for it than just selling it.
