Why not offer a drastically cheaper monthly fee for those people, like me, who ONLY want to use the PS tool? This will prevent the tool from losing its appeal to countless people who won't/can't pay $39/month.

People will just use a proxy, clear cookies, reconnect in the case of dialup...
    Etc, etc, etc...

I cant imagine anyone paying that much cash for a PS report.
Someone will be along soon to take their place with a newer and better version.

Have to agree, most people will simply not pay $39 which means the danger is that PS will simply die off as a worthwhile benchmark.

If you call yourself an "SEO/SEM SEWHATEVER" and can't afford $39/month then you should really call yourself unemployed.

Pretty easy to gauge site importance without using the tool, all be it a little slower

    I agree, I mean Its 39 bux a month, not 39,000,000,000

Every PROFESSIONAL webmaster should be able to afford that...

If you don't have $39.00 a month to spare from your sites earnings , then well you site doesn't need the tool :)

If it's such a pain why not develop a tool yourself and make it available for free? ;)

It's a big difference between buying something "just 'cause I can" and buying something that I really need.

And I just checked 5 websites in Seomoz without any trouble...

Why dont you charge only for those seo guides, tips and other tools ?

Its PS tool which made seomoz.org a popular - Paid move will obviously decrease its popularity.

After finding that the SEOmoz PS history is full of errors, missing data, etc... I realized I need to do that anyways...
