tonight, i got the dreaded email .. 'invalid clicks' and all that..

i can't for the life of me figure out what i've done wrong.. the same ads on the same sites had been running for months on end..

i can only assume i've been click bombed, in which case i can't prove it as i've no ad click trackers or anything.

what am i supposed to do  i've immediately appealed, but basically i can't provide any stats to back me up.. all i can provide is traffic analysis which look to be normal.

It's highly frustrating.. i've got 2 checks now from google and was on course for a 3rd.. all valid clicks, valid traffic..

May I just ask approximately how many clicks you have been getting?

    Nothing you can do.
Some people click bomb a site and then send an email to G saying the owner ask to do so...
Adsense account are extremely fragile. Just don't rely on it 100%...

the clicks didn't appear to be above normal..

we're talking like 4/5 clicks a day.. sometimes none, rarely more..

CTR wasn't drastically high either last time i checked..

it's very frustrating- not even a warning - over $80 in my account has gone up in smoke

Hey, sad to hear, i really hope you can get reinstated if did nothing wrong....
Anyways if jpegr.com was one of the sites running on adsense, and you don't get your account back and don't find a profitable advertiser, ill be happy to take it off your hand looks like a good site to add to my nonprofit portfolio.

The first thing you did wrong was send an appeal without " no stats " to back you up. You cannot make any accusation about them being valid clicks if you had no click logger. I might be a bit harsh, but it would take one hell of an appeal to make a case to the Adsense team saying that there were in fact legit clicks without any stats... and to send an appeal right away without gathering SOMETHING was really wrong. I really do hope you get re-instated, but I just need to remind other members on the forum: You may only get ONE chance at an appeal... MAKE IT DAMN GOOD.

Why would anyone ban you for five clicks a day?
    Were you warned previously?

    no warnings at all..

but i've said my stats look normal, i've offered to forward all the stats on, and that without any click tracking software i can't analyze invalid clicks.. all i can do is analyze traffic and the traffic appears to be normal - as it has been for the past 6 months.

basically i can't prove my innocence.. i know the drill, if CTR is huge with considerable impressions, i'll report it.

If CTR is huge as in 1 click with 2 impressions, i'll leave it. As i feel that's acceptable. (this rarely happens anyway).

My monthy CTR is what most people would regard as average (low single figure %).

    this month was no different.

Sent them an appeal stating that you did not click and didn't not encourage anyone to click the ads. Everybody you asked said they have not clicked with the purpose to support your site.

Tell Google that it is possible that your colleagues in the office which share the same IP (some share the same computer) could have visited your website and clicked on the ads with genuine intention to visit the targeted websites, but it may be flagged as invalid clicks, because all clicks come from the same IP.

    Good luck with your appeal.

I wish Yahoo! would get out of there beta version and start there publisher network soon that will allow anybody to join. Good luck with the appeal if you do it!

Google never re open any account once it got banned, appealing is just waste of time,
try to find other income streams. Dont be disappointed cause there are many who get banned, you are not the only ONE:)

    I beg to differ :)

If you are not at fault and have taken precautions (click tracking) you can get you account back if you can show through your logs that you haven’t screwed yourself. This I know from experience/.

Yes and no... I bet there are some adwords publishers that get "lost in the crowd" when the refunds are issued from banned adsense accounts but I seriously doubt its done with any malice. With a program the size of adsense/adwords the ratio of new customers/false information per day alone has to create some major errors at the end of the day.
