Yesterday I was thinking about it while sleeping, which one of these is correct to use? Which one do you use mostly?
Using a or an depends on the sound that begins the next word.. If SEO is pronounced as "ass eee o"...then I guess "an" would be correct .
probably depends if you're marketing it as the letters S.E.O or the words 'Search Engine Optimization' so both ways could be right
ill definately say it should be A Seo firm. an comes when you have vowels after thet word. or best is you can start from Seo Firm , skin A as well.
I personally think it's An SEO Firm. If you put it into words like 'We have now joined partners with an SEO Firm'. I tryed saying that sentence a few times but said it as with a SEO Firm and I felt like it needed to be with an SEO Firm. Although this may not be right I think it sounds right as an SEO Firm .
it should be "a seo firm" since s is not a vowel! but then my knowledge of english is a bit limited, so this is just a guess!
An "Ass Eee O" firm. A "see-yoh" firm. depends on how you pronounce SEO. usually we pronounce like in the first sentence, so it's 'an SEO firm'.
An SEO firm . It is not depending on the S but the pronounciation of S , which is "ess" Same case with European . It starts with an E but we say A European Man & not An European Man.
That's not always right.. You must know that we use an with hour, hotel etc. Also take this sentence for example: "This is an L-shaped building" will be correct instead of a L-shaped building.
'An' is not only used before vowels but is also used before short forms. For e.g: An SEO firm, An FBI agent etc.
An SEO firm is also correct. A SEO firm is not wrong...If you check with MS word, words 'an' and 'a' both are fine if they are followed by a capital word which normally happens to be a short form. I just wanted to say that 'an' need not be added only before a vowel, it can be added before a short form as well.
It's an SEO firm. The letter S is pronounced as es. Same goes with a unique name. Who'd say an unique name?
