Beware scammer: Jimmy116

About a week or two ago, I sold a website to someone in this forum with the username, "Jimmy116"

We both agreed that he'd pay half amount, $200 and I will push the domain to him and help him setup the website.

For several days, I worked hard and tried my best to setup his website but his host kept getting a redirect problem and I would not understand the problem. He kept redirecting the domain to his other website while I tried to fix it. I was getting no credit for this, and he should be responsible to set up his own site, but since we made this deal, I decided to help him out with this.

Later on, red flags went up because he would make up stupid reasons as to why the site wouldn't work, such as ".htaccess" isn't there, and that's not a reason to have a redirect problem. (in fact, .htaccess WAS there). I worked for a few days though to show him that I'm willing to set up the site.

Red flags went even higher because he started not logging on MSN when he usually does, and not responding to my DP messages when he's online. So, I asked him for the full payment to make sure I don't get scammed, and I promised to continue helping him work out the site. I waited for Scott, owner of the script, to go online.

He refused to give me the full payment, but I was stupid enough to keep trusting him. Later on, I finally asked him to give me back the domain name and I will give him back the money. He refused and said, "you should first" and I just can not trust this guy anymore.

Many people here know how often I get scammed :( well, this is another one! I hope you guys be aware of him. He now owns my domain which was worth way more, and all this hard work was for nothing.

Advice: always make sure full payment is made before you work for anyone or give anyone anything! something I learned from this scammer.

Then you will never work for me. (actually you can), but coders are very much up and down in quality and I would never pay full before the work is done. Unless its paidhosting or someone with very good rep of course.

It is sad that someone does stuff like that but I myself have stoped paying up front unless the trade rating is superb. If not money on delivery, it's called earning trust and if you want work you gotta go out of your way to get the business. I have had to run after people trying to get the job done after they already got the money. It just seems their is no motivator to get the job done quickly when the money is already in the bank.

Thanks for the heads up on this fellow! Hope you get your stuff or the money.

Aven is a SCAMMER. Beware !!! This guy is a cheater he did not manage to setup the site for me, please have a look on the site at Arcadeglory.com he even redirecto to this post .... We agreed on 50% before domain transfer (I send him that amount even before the domain was transfer) and 50% after site fully setup and confirm working. After he did not manage to setup the site for me we wrote this on the etrade:

"I worked hard on trying to help him set up the site, and he won't even accept the refund. He's willing to keep the domain name and get the refund back. Such a scammer!"

I have check my paypal. NO SUM HAD BEEN RECEIVED when I wrote this message.

I SHOWED Jimmy the directory and I gave him complete access to my FTP. I even gave him access to my other domain because dreamhost doesn't have a feature where you can login via ftp using ONE domain. It was too slow for him to download via FTP, so I helped him set up ssh and showed him how to download files in minutes.

It finally worked, and I then sent a PM on DP telling him the site is setup, (directory had the files), but after he redirected the domain. It kept having errors, so this is when I just asked for a refund because I could not trust this guy anymore.

So I did the smart thing and removed all the files and folders of the website out of the directory, so that the least thing I can get out of it is not stealing my domain AND template, etc.

And the redirection is pointing to show what he's done to himself.

I can't and will not tolerate scammers any longer.

What you mean blided from the truth ... you agreed to refund so that I can transfer the domain back ..but you did not. When I agree to send you the first payment before the domain transfer I did.

Maturely? you have shown no maturity after all the trouble you have caused. You never handled anything maturely.

You mess up my domain, you have me spend a week trying to help setup your site, and all I get is a stolen domain from me.

All that, and you think you still deserve to be trusted rather than me? oh please.

That's correct, I first agreed for me to send the money first, but I knew that was too easy. You are a scammer, and you're trying to get your last punch before leaving.

Like I said, I've dealt with many similar scammers and I'm not dealing with one again. You scammers are such pathetic losers and a waste of time, and waste of oxygen in this world.

Who is not matured here? If you agree something you need to do it boy.... you are not the only one who take the risk when trading this site. I take the risk to send you the firs payment before anything was transfered. For everyone who is following the post .. I will transfer domain within 24 hours if I have the money back ...

Whether you are buying or selling there should be an equal risk, I think that is fairer for both.

I think I've risked setting up your website enough, and dealing with your problems. I risked getting full payment for my work and my website and instead you damaged the site and aren't willing to transfer the domain.

    You sick, greedy, ass.

Guys, I suggest you take this private before the mods end it for you by banning both of you.
