I just want to make sure I am backing up my directory properly now that I switched to this upgrade.

    Here is a screenshot.

    Do I just click backup??
    Is that it??
    Is it that simple?

Then it is saved in that folder in cpanel for the just in case and I am safe?

    Thanks!

This is the best method to backup any SQL that does not create and issues. Have been using it for few years now never gave me issues.

Make your backup file have written permission, you may download your PC or email the backups, etc.

    Just simple :)

Paidhosting...thanks, that is a great instructional page.

Antonio: so that is correct then? backup is made from just clicking button?

I don't know written permission (newbie). But is it still backed up without this written permission?

    Yeah ;)

Or it can't be backup. :)

    @ acuman
Login in your FTP, make backup folder CHMOD 666, that works..

Alright cause you used word backup file, which is different from backup folder.

@acuman i hope you have cpanel, if not almost all hosting panels come with phpmyadmin so you should be able to locate it.

    Cheers
