Bible research puts them about 6500 years ago when they were created. The Bible does not teach that they were born as humans just like you and I. Col
so they were Homo sapiens sapiens then prehistoric people then? what about the species before them? and those who invented fire? were they not men and women like us? ok they looked different may be but they still had a brain and had a way of living.
To me Adam did not exist. The whole biblical stories are nothing but fairytales to explain the myth of creation. My question to you is why you choose Abrahamic Adam&Eve and not the Greek father god Uranus and the mother goddess Gaia? Science does not accept such absurdities. The earliest known hominids are Australopiths who are dated back to 7 million years. Can anyone remind me again of the age of the earth according to the Abrahamic traditions? God broke one bone from Adam's ribs and created woman. They why don't we have one bone less in our rib cage? And why don't women have only one bone in their bodies? Religion is supposed to answer questions, rather than creating new questions that have no answers. So, I am an atheist
in the hebrew, what God created was an "earth creature", which is adama...hence the name Adam. God did not create a "human being, a man named Adam".
If I cut your arm off would your children be born with one arm? Yeah, that was a real stickler there...
adam and ever were the first human, by human i mean human just like me and you, before them, there was no humans, they might have body like humans but they dont have wisdom this is what i think... as far as duration is concern, they might come around 7000 year before
I have a brother names Adam and I knew an eve once... So yes, they were born. As to the biblical versions, I doubt it...
A better question is who were the people living outside the Garden of Eden? When Adam and Eve were kicked out after eating from the Tree of Knowledge they went to dwell with the people that lived outside of Eden. I suppose that is the same group that Adam and Eve's sons found wives to bear their children. So if there were people living outside the Garden of Eden were they created by God too? And if they were how come it's not mentioned in the Bible?
Not sure what you are reading there. The Bible does not teach that humans were living outside the Garden of Eden whilst Adam and Eve were in there. According to the description by science, they were homo sapiens. According to the Bible, there were no "human species" written about prior to Adam and Eve. Otherwise, would it not be written as so? Col
Ok! How did God make a woman with one bone? If this is a standard procedure for creating creatures, where did God get the first bone from, when he created Adam?
In Genesis chapter 3 Adam and Eve get kicked out of the Garden of Eden. In Genesis chapter 4 Eve gives birth to Cain and Abel. They each had wives. After Cain was sent out from Eden by God he went to live in the land of Nod. He then became a father when his son Enoch was born. If you read the New International Version of the Bible Cain is busy making a city in the land of Nod which he names after his son, Enoch. So where are the wives coming from? Why is Cain making a city? Just for him and his wife? Is Cain's wife a daughter from his mother, Eve? Now as to if there were people living outside Eden before Adam and Eve got kicked out of there it depends on what version/translation of the Bible you're reading from. Some say that there were people living outside of Eden. The Bible kind of skips over the whole question of where Cain and Abel and their sons found their wives, plus why Cain was making a city. You don't need a city when there is just you, your brother and your parents. Also, Genesis 2 offers more indirect proof that God made a special place apart from the rest of the world. That's the Garden of Eden. What's to say that humans weren't elsewhere on the planet? Nowhere in the Bible does it say that God made any other humans than Adam and Eve so there has to be something special about those two humans and there is: they ate from the tree of knowledge/life. They gained a new ability. Thus, it sounds very much like the story of Adam and Eve is really about two created humans that have a special understanding. They leave the Garden of Eden and start a family. Unless they have daughters and the Bible doesn't record their names down, if you believe that there were no other people outside of the Garden of Eden at the time of Adam and Eve then there would be no women for Cain and Abel to have their children with except through incest. Medical science knows that would end the species in a few generations so your only other alternative is that there were other humans outside the Garden of Eden.
Whoa there. You are way out of context there. It's like you are saying Cain was making a city not long after Adam and Eve were ousted. How many years you think went by before Cain and Abel found wives? Who do you think Cain and Abel married? You need some thorough research to find this out. Do some careful examination and you will likely see the chronology of events. Col
If God wanted to make Adam out of bone then he would have created a bone out of nothing just like he made everything else. As it was he created Adam out of dirt and then made Eve out of Adam's rib. And now humans are born from sperm and eggs. I don't see where your confusion is coming from. People use sand to make glass. Then the glass is made into parts to make various things. It's not necessary to melt sand for every cup you make. Or maybe that's the way you like to do things. vs Seriously, how did you come up with that question? Some people manage to have 12 kids in 20-30 years. Adam had 800 years to have kids. Read the Bible, then come back and ask questions. It'll save everyone a lot of time.
Why do we have so many different looking cats? They've only been around since the Egyptians. Wolves can be domesticated into dogs within a decade or few. Define "race." God confused the languages at the tower of Babel which forced people to regroup and scatter around the world. And, as Darwin found out, when you put a species into different environments you get variations of the species. In humans we call them "races." Or did you think humans were immune to environmental changes and gene mutation?
