    Hello to all DP members.

I see your success stories about web based proxies.
I understand the main idea what it needs and how it works but have
totally no clue about details, hope you can help me and both we can
write nice guide to cgi/php proxies business and marketing them.

    1. They need vps or dedicated, but how to estimate which machine handles that? What is the best proxy hosting?

    2. Which are easier to customize, install, manage? Where to download scripts and how to install them?

    3. How do you promote them, what are all the proxy directories you put your proxies? How much time and effort is needed to earn $1 per day placing some adsense?

    4. How to properly put adsense on a proxy page?

Anybody add their own questions and/or answers.

I would use PHP PRoxy. They come with themes already made at http://www.freeproxytemplates.com/. The best way to put adsense is the war they already come, just like my website, http://www.whyblocks.com. I wouldn't recommend a dedicated right away. I could give you some proxy hosting. If your interested PM me.

EDIT: also, to let you know adsense will not let you put adsense ads on proxified pages! I recommend you read this article: http://www.freeproxytemplates.com/adversal-adbrite-proxy/
    Hope that helped!

Why not posting links to proxy hosts here?

You could try Tor (http://tor.eff.org/). It's a "sort of" proxy I guess. You have to download the program then install it.

The idea is you run a 'Tor' server and others run 'Tor' servers. You share their IP Address and they share yours.

Be careful though, I still would not use it to click on your own ads especially for Big 'G' as it's against TOS.

Also, I'm not sure of the legal ramifications if someone does something illegal and it traces back to your IP Address.

But it will give you pretty good anonymity if that's what you looking for

If you are looking for proxy hosting, I would recommend Servint at www.servint.com. Been hosting with them for awhile and they have some of the most awesome customer service I've ever seen!

    Hi,

There's no chart for this kind of stuff.

What I would suggest is starting small with shared hosting and be ready to move to a dedicated if you start getting alot of traffic.
Have an idea of who you think you'd go with for a dedicated while your starting with shared.

    Regards,

I read on webmaster world forum that it's forbidden to place ads in the frames on proxified pages. Adsense representative out there said thats true. However it seems that all of you guys "skip" that rule.

I don't 'skip' that rule - not worht being kicked out of Adsense. Always play by the rules. Have a look at my sig below to see how I monetize my proxified pages. I get about $0.80CPM raw for US & UK hits on my proxified pages.
