That is science. In science a lot of things are discovered by accident. He certainly did not use technology to discover how to make fire. But another question is, how did he discover that he could pick up the stones ?
Hmm science is nothing to be discovered because its something which is already there. But technology is what we are discovering each day and using it. lol
