wouldn't it be fun to be a storm chaser? then again it might be nearly like the time you almost fell from a roller coaster if you catch my drift.

I've been in TX for 13 years now...never seen a tornado!! then again I'm not really looking for them either!

I lived in Lubbock when I was a kid...and had a tornado jump over my house...and i could see into it rather briefly through the skylight in the house...that was really neat...(though didn't see much it was a bit dark...)...

    yeah, i don't think i'd be a good storm chaser...i'd wreck...lol

you've been dodging death quite a bit it seems. any other near death experiences???

Lived in Lubbock a year myself. Wife went to TT for college and grew up about 90miles from there.

the most chasing I've ever done is step onto our back 'porch' and take pics of lightning!

only other near death one would be where i almost shoved my bike handle through my neck :)...lol...but that's just a bit of an exageration...

I used to play football in the TT stadium when I was little...lived right down the street

(this was when lubbock was a tiny little town of like 5000 people...)

5K :p, now they have 5K restaurants...which is the best thing about Lubbock if you ask me :-D

when I first moved to Lubbock from VT...they were like you know it's dry...as I was about to turn 21...I was like what, it doesn't rain much?

NO! I had no idea it was like in the movie Footloose :p
nature can be both - awesomely beautiful and powerful, sometimes both! it's great

one of my best memories from lubbock was my mother went out to check the mail, and i went out to play in the backyard...it was pouring down rain in the back...and sunny out front...my mom though i got the hose out while she was checking the mail when i came in sopping wet...lol

    lubbock has some crazy weather...

TX is like that. we were driving home last night, completely sunny and yet it was raining :p
we're not in a flat section of TX, not a lot of places to see for miles and miles of the upcoming storms
be sure to check out the others too, there were another 4 of them I think that are just as impressive!
