So here goes.. we all want links and PR when we have new sites. In the past I have always used DP members to submit my sites manually. Well I came across a product called Link Directory Submitter and decided to try out their 10 day trial. Basically it has about 2000 directories and you fill out a form once, and then click on each directory and it prefills all the info for you. You still have to click "submit" on each site, and deal with captcha, if any... So I don't think there is any way to get flagged for this as "automated submission"... because it is really only semi-automated... Here's my question: Is this what all these "manual submission" services use? It still takes time, but it is mostly automated this way. Is there any reason for me to pay someone to do these submissions for me rather than shell out the $97 for this software once and use it for all my submissions (although it still takes time)??? Right now I am just farting around with the 10 day free trial. Of the 100 directories the trial version offers (full has 2100) I was able to submit to 44... mind you, the other 56 wanted payment, or a reciprocal link.. so I skipped them. Any input??? Serg
hmmmmm, it depends but i think so mostly people use these kind of software for "manual submission". Shaz
Yeah, I just don't see how these people can do 500 manual submissions for $45 or so.. EVEN if you live in a place where that is a lot of money, going to 500 sites and cutting and pasting will take a long.. long time... So do you guys think all these people are using something like the software I am reffering to? Serg
Manual Submission is important. As these software can hurt your site badly. If your site is 3to 6 months old don't even think of doing submission through these softwares. Go for SEO Friendly Directory Submission in which the sevice provider does 100 submission every 15 days which would help your site Frank
Frank, Explain to me HOW this would hurt? It's not fully automated, I still have to go to each site in the softwares mini browser and click "submit." Please explain how this is going to hurt as there is NO way to tell that you are using this kind of software. Serg
You know google ban brand new sites if too much of seo work done on a new site. These softwares help you submit your site at a much faster rate then it should be done. Frank
What is the difference? I mean how the heck is anyone going to know this was done any way but manually? Please explain.... I don't see the difference.. as we are not talking about a software package that just submits on it's own.. software like this still needs input for each action.. it just simplifies the process. Please help me understand otherwise...
The autoresponders that directory send are the best way to check whether the person is using a software or no. Frank
I think you guys are misunderstanding just what this software does... all it does is prefill the forms at the directories, I still had to select the category and click submit FOR EACH ONE... and I used my own email address, so I get all the confirmation emails from each directory... how on earth is this going to hurt? I don't understand... And I am not trying to be argumentative here, just want to understand how this could possibly hurt. Serg
Manual is best ... you'll never know what these automated software's well do to your web site Good luck
Serg, Most popular directories get hundreds of submissions a day. There is no way (as long as the form is submitted correctly) the direcotry or anyone else is going to tell the difference between an auto submit and a manual submit. If you think manually submission is tedious, just use firefox and get the auto web form submitter extension. Works for me.
nuts to the manual submission, that works for a few choice high PR site links, but otherwise I automate everything form stumbles, digs, forums posts, emails, auto commentators. Its fast, easy and effective.
I would say Manual submission is the best as how and automated submission could find correct categories for your site?
theres that firefox addon once configured.. is pretty damn easy to do.. I've only tried it for one site and did quite a lot in 30ish minutes.. i assume someone dedicated enough could do them a lot quicker if setup properly to do so..
You still have to choose categories with this software.. all it really does is prefil everything else for you, then you select a category and click "submit" I also just downloaded Digixmas and tried it out.. it submits automatically, all you need to do is provide the captcha phrase, if any... I submitted a site I don't care much about using Digixmas.. super fast, but has MUCH lower PR directories than the other software.. and the other package lets you import your own directories that you find.
What I came to believe was.. Manual Submission: Was that the user has developed or obtained a list of directories that have good page rank, and then that user will either submit to hose sites by himself or with a team. Automated Submission: Was when the user purchased a script or program and just has the program do the submitting.
