If I won a lot of millions I would buy a large area of land with a small lake or dam and lots of trees, and build a lovely house for us, one for my parents, one for my sister, and one or two for if friends want to drop by. They would be surrounded by a ferny foresty garden, with a man made stream and waterfall. The houses would be joined by boardwalks, to make it easy for my mum to get between them, as she has problems with walking on rough ground. These boardwalks would join in the centre, wth an undercover gazebo area with barbecue facilities and seating. Then around the other side of the lake I would build a nice camp/centre for homeschoolers to use... and maybe other kids/families too. There would be cute little family cabins, big kitchen and dining hall, theatre facilities, workshop type rooms, craft facilities (pottery, spinning wheels, woodwork etc), computer room, photography gear, library. Plus horses and other animals, chickens for eggs, permaculture garden etc. I would employ friends and family who are good at various appropriate things, and have cabins for them too, if it was too far to commute. Eg my sister is a librarian, so she could run the library, plus she makes jewellery etc, so she could run craft workshops. My dad does astronomy, woodwork, is good with computers and electronics, so he could do these workshops. A friend likes driving and is a real people person, so maybe he could run a bus back and forth from the city to bring people to the centre. He also plays drums and keyboard and works with MIDI, so he could do these workshops. And so on... I'd provide an exchange scheme for homeschoolers from other countries to come over and spend time at the camp centre. In time, I'd set up these centres in other countries too. Plus we'd travel, have nice things, do lots of exciting things ourselves... in between helping to run the centre. Got it all planned out. Now I just need the millions. Anyone got a spare few?! Sorry to rave for so long... just got carried away.
Well I would buy Google or Yahoo if I won big money. Well I will donate some 25% for cry who help to child.
I would invest most of it and spend the rest on a giant fishtank, a new mobile phone and an xbox 360 lol. A humble life ;P
I'll spend half of that for leisure and put the other half on the bank. I would love to travel places in my country or abroad. Then buy investments
after taxes... I'd offer 50yr. 0% interest loans to small churches with most of it.. and bank the rest, things wouldn't change much.
