So.. Thanks to a thread right here on DP I decided to check back in on a freebie site I run. I totally forgot about it, but when I checked back I found out I ranked on the first page in Google / MSN / Yahoo for the term Free iPhone, AND to top it all off the site had made $150 in the past month of which I knew nothing So now I'll be working on the website a lot.. With any luck I'll be ranked #1 for Free iPhone very soon So has anyone else had this kind of a positive experience anytime recently?
Er.. well, one of my websites ranks #4 for the term "nexopia", only because I can't outrank Wikipedia or the two Nexopia sites. This is more of a Keywords section convo though.
i have, but was slightly different! in my blog i have used text link ads, and i forgot to check it for some time! then last month i got a check from from textlinkads, and i though what was it for. i have not looked in TLA for the last 4 months, then after getting the money, i logged on to tla and saw that the money was for referring someone! i was very happy, i removed adsense from sitefunda.com and put in text link ads, and from then on everything is going pretty good!
NOw that you are seeing positive results from little effort...it is downhill from here hehe. Somethings are best left alone
God, you're right. One of my proxies got 2K uniques on the first day, and slid down ever since. Trusted, I'm not promoting it yet, but finishing the network, but still, it was pretty disappointing.
I am.. Actually got two members of my site working on it now. One customizing and coding on the script. And the other making new graphics. Yep Though I had to go through a few months worth of income.. I FINALLY got the auto crediting working now though. Now its no work and get money Though I think I'll be spending some time on SEO. I want #1 spot for the term free iphone! Well, so far we only had paid offers. So you'd have to have a credit card to win anything.. (Be it only $5 to win $25). Now we added some free offers as well, so (if you're in the US) you can fill out 15 free offers, get 1 friend to do the same, and you'll get $25! If you get up to 30 friends to do the same, you'll win the iPhone, and have it shipped to you as soon as they're available for sale. Still an awesome surprise isn't it? Well.. It needs some upkeep, people need to have their offers credited. And with a little SEO, I'm gonna reach spot #1!
Might as well add a question here.. What do you guys think.. Will my signature (linking to the site with the term I want to be #1 for) affect anything? With over 1,000 posts (and my pr2 profile). Just wondering if any of you have seen a difference in SE positions due to your sig.. I'll start promoting it again more very soon. Plus its somewhat exciting for me. Its only the 6th or 7th term I've had the opportunity to rank #1 for.
Do it like I did: Start countless websites and hope that one of them makes it big! XD But as of now I'm ranking high for quite a few terms. I always usually sticked with PPC advertising for traffic.. Never thought Google would be such a viable source of traffic. I honestly always thought that all terms are "Taken". I mean, everything that is to be done has been done. I thought those people would have had such a head start, that for most terms i'd never have a chance. Anwyays I already jumped 2 spots.. Im not gonna stop till I have #1
