Ive been thinking to sell my own chat application i made for my college to chat during class. Not sure if anyone here is interested but here are the features: -optional loading message (can be used to load your company, website image/logo) - MOTD (Message Of The Day) - User connect / disconnect sounds - "slash" commando's like /clear /savelog etc - userlist (see who is chatting) - links that will open in firefox/IE (good if you want to add sponserlinks etc) I made this using java enterprise + JBOSS application server and so i believe i own my own application that i wrote myself i will give you the sourcecode but i won't give out any support due lack of time but if you really need my help i can try to help you. TBH, i don't know because this is the first time im selling one of my applications. Ive worked around 20/25 hours to finish the chat as it is now. I'm guessing atleast 25USD, that is 1USD for each hour i worked on the chat but i'm open for offers.
Does it work on other places than networks? Does it work over the internet if you set a server up for it? How does it work basicly? Pm me with more info plz
Are you selling it as a package? That is I click on the package and it gets installed, and I start using chat application or I need to download JBOSS separately ? Will it work in linux as well as windows ?
Other places than network? yes if someone can connect to the internet they can connect to the chat. How does it work? Well, there is one server that hosts the chat (JBOSS application server, free to use) and set the IP you want for the clients to connect in the JDNI.property file. server requirements: JBOSS, j2eesdk, JBossIDE,(if you want to code my application yourself and add features) and Java 1.5/1.6 client requirements: java 1.5xx works on windows/maxOS/linux etc as long as java supports the OS.
uhm, no i haven't coded it so that it will install in "1 click" you will need JBOSS because thats the application server my chat runs on, don't worry its free. The chat will run on machines that is supported by java. Windows/Linux/MaxOS users should be ok although i only used the chat on winXP systems. I don't think I will sell multiple copies (haven't really thought about that actually). Anyway, the one that buys the chat from me can do anything they want to do with it i don't mind, afterall i'll be giving the sourcecode to the buyer.

no problem, ive added some instructions for coders so they know how to add features and modify it. I've also changed to language to english because i made it for my school but since no one here ( i assume) understand the language i changed it to english.
Well, I haven't heard from you since and I had a few other buyers that wanted to buy my application so I sold it to them instead and added features like userlevels (user,operator,channel operator, chanel admin, chat admin) / smilies etc and changed the layout to a "kiddie but professional look". Since I already sold a few copies to a few ppl and supporting/adding new features for them I'm not selling any more copies of my application. This topic can be locked.
