I'm getting tired of random people PM'ing me about their wordpress themes up for sponsor... quit spamming me!


can you red rep somone from a PM?

 

report to a mod with the url of the PM

 

Post it here or forward it to a moderator.

 

I get these too - people think if you've bought one whatever you automatically want another one. It's good in one way because you get first glimpse and chance to bid on new WordPress themes.

 

spam is spam is spam. I don't want the first glimpse at the new viagra site, the new wordpress theme, or the new rolex for 1/2 off.

Have you guys noticed, since last 15 days, the spam is growing like hell.

On my site(forums and blog)

Tons of viagra, pharmaceutics and etc posts.

Email gets 1000 spams everyday!

and now DP is not left of it.

2+ Spam PMs everyday!

Yup. I am serious. Thats avergae.

SOmetimes, i get 5 and some times none or 1..

Thats why I only read those PMs which I think it requires...

 

Well just forward it to Mod or ignore it. I got PM in past but not now.

Red repping a PM is a good idea Can work wonders to shoo spammers !!

 

i have also never got any spam, till now,
i get some occational link exchange requests, probably because of my old threads, or posts! i don't really mind that,

on dp, till now, i have not got any serious spam!

 

I'm guilty of this. I do assume to much so I'm sorry to whoever I may have bothered. I did think you were interested in another link but now I know.

Good thing (me lucky) i only get spams or rather pms, offering me money lol. So i do not report them, love to make some money .

But you can give that user red for any thread they posted on cause you cannot give red for pm.

 

i've been fortunate myself not to get spammed at all yet, maybe thats one of the benefits of being a newbie

 

Actually newbies are mostly responsible for spam.

 

Because users like us dont love to spam on forums or anywhere on planet Earth.

 

I've only recieved 1 or 2 spam messages by PM eversince I joined DP, but nothing more than that. I think you should report the user to the Mods and they will help you.

 

I guess you arent that active...
