    here's an example , http://astore.amazon.com/ubidvideogames-20

you don't need you own domain just signed up to amazon associate program and start building stores,

however it's better to add it to a site as a "site store" then just building a store.

If you want to do build something better then aStore, search the forum for free amazon associate scripts so you can customize you own store optimize it and build it on your own domain.

aStores don't work very well. I am sure Amazon knows this and is working on an improved version or something better.

Deep-linking is still the way to go. Write some good relevant content and link to related products with 'Previews' activated.

That is pretty sweet looking. Is there anyway to integrate it into your own site so that it looks like it is your own store? This example looks like it is part of amazon.com.

Can you explain what deep-linking, and linking to related products w/ "previews" activated means? I am a noob, and want to start my own affiliat store on a website, so any info would really help.

    Thanks guys.

You can embed the store on your own site using an inline frame (iframe) or regular frame set (Amazon gives you the code). They also have a variety of "widgets" that you can put on your web site or blog that show random items from your store (they are the size & shape of Google Adsense ads).

Nice...How do you get the banners on the sidebar?
Is it just a matter of editing the CSS? I still can't figure out how to access the files and make the changes.
    Any Help?

Also, is it O.K to do that? have other ads on your aStore?

There are two main way to use an aStore. One is as a stand alone store that is what Amazon creates. Or you can create your own site, under its own domain and include an aStore or other Amazon tool on the webpage itself. This second option allows you to place other content and ads around the section where your aStore resides.

Example of a stand alone aStore:
    http://astore.amazon.com/aldouspibooks09

Example of same store as part of a separate website: http://www.healthyhuman.net/shp3.html (scroll down to find the store). This site was designed about a year and half ago and needs to be rearranged (a project for this year...).

I do have several stand alone aStores like the one above which I promote from regular websites... Links that say something like Visit my Sherlock Holmes bookstore.

    Astore Advertising tip.

You can create links from any of your websites to your aStore using an Amazon Widget. This is the store product widget that will show a limited number of your store products in the typical ad formats. When a visitor clicks a product link it takes them to your aStore. ;)
