I am looking to use Co-op with no-follow on one of my bigger site and just want to ask people who are using it about its effects. Has anyone noticed site getting deindexed due to display of coop links with nofollow ?

I didn't even know that nofollow was an option in the coop. Surely it defeats the whole point in having it?

I had started this thread for some help but I guess now I have to help you.

Anyway a long time back Shawn had posted his reply for this comment of "What's the use of Co-Op with no-follow". He had said that Co-op is an advertising network and not just a quick link building tool (though we all know it can't get you any substantial traffic as we all keep the links at the darkest and bottmest part of our sites)

No-follow has been introduced for people who are worried that there site may get de-indexed. Please Note you will get very less weight if you use co-op as no-follow on your site. Approximately, for 20k pages - less than 1000 surely

I personally think that the nofollow shouldn't be an option. If you are afraid of the risks then don't use the coop.

To answer your question, none of my sites have been negatively effected by using the coop.
