It's probably safe to post your ideas any where and any time. Everybody has there own ideas. I once had a couple of meetings with a guy that was convinced his idea for setting up a web site to eliminate maintenance paperwork for truck drivers was going to be huge, "bigger than Amazon". It had some potential but execution never happened.

Everyone has ideas. I have one I really like, it's kind of like www.swivel.com, user supplied data in and I present the data in some unique fashion. I might present the idea in more detail since it's not your idea and it would take resource to execute but I still wouldn't want to go into more details on some web site mentioned in a forum.

good ideas are rare that's why nobody will share them because someone may stole them... when I have some good website ideas I create the sites and sell them for example :)

I believe that is a little missunderstanding, even if I tried to explain it. As I saied more times, an idea is not necessary an invention. Could be, for example, a new combination of a juice made at home and about who, someone invite a community to try it. Or a new cake. A community of people with ideas can be something very fun and, also, very usefull.
Probably the main problem is the fact that people, in general, are expecting that the others be the first who post their ideas. The beginning is allways very difficult.

I'm curious if besides the fear of intellectual theft, there are other reasons for not revealing your ideas.

Also, I want to state that in the following days we will post some ideas of our own, to serve as examples and also encourage you.

i saw that a lot of you entered to visit the site but till now noone had the courage to post a small idea. Without the fear of theft, only imagination.
Really, you don't want to try?

would rather sell the idea, or get it reviewed in a private environment, but yes to give few ideas free is fine, since a person who keeps getting them can produce more better ideas :p

allways the beginnig and the thrust in something is very difficult. After some posts and a lot of comments, favourably or not, I guess that more and more will send their small or great ideas, without the fear that someone will steal.

Who said that, if someone interested in your idea, will not contact you and you will share even the goods?

Are you crazy? If I post an idea that is highly profitable and easy to implement 99 out of 100 people will go and do it without even learning my name. I know this because I would do the same.

I'm talking about good ideas though. I said I share my ideas, but only ones I don't plan to use myself.

Even if only one person steals my idea, that is one more person I need to compete with. Why would I want this?

Here's an idea: send me $100. Do I have to post it on your website or will you send me my money that I asked for?

I hope no one steals my idea!

people won't give any ideas to your site unless you get your good ideas posted there. So people also might be interested in sharing their ideas.

You really believe that if you give only general informations someone will steal your idea? You can keep details in your mind or on paper.
