Site Redesign: Please Review

Any feedback on the new design? Is it better than the old? How could I improve it?

I'm converting it to CSS as I redesign it, so the markup is a little messy now. That will be fixed.

But I'd appreciate feedback on the visual aspect of the design. Thanks!

The second design is much better specially getting rid of the pop-up.

To make things better, try to add some color to the major link also by making it bold or inside a color background table. You will get more Click To Action that way.

 

Try centering your layout and adding a background color for your left menu.

The white background of the site, doesn't look professional, but I have to agree, the new design is much better than the old one.

 

both look little old fashioned designs for me, probably you should consider something different to attract visitors view the site more often

 

I think there's way too much white. Even a simple border around your content would help out, it just needs something to separate the content from the container.

It's not bad or anything, just doesn't catch my eye in any way. Spice it up some.

 

Adding a background color will be better.

Uh-oh. It's not centered for you? I'm showing it centered in IE and Firefox! (Perhaps that issue will be fixed when I switch that part to CSS.)

I like the second design better too. That darker background helps pull people into the main page. This way they aren't distracted or will stay focused on what you want them to.


Btw, I agree about that pop up. They are a little anoying.
