I am really too angry with this and this is a warning for everyone. I am trying to transfer a domain out of them for months and still they are not giving me the EPP code. They never reply to a support ticket, Never !!! Can anyone tell me how to get the EPP code from registerfly.com ?? Or does this mean that I must continue use it.
This was actually something quite big.. you can read more about the scandal at: http://www.registerflies.com/ Sorry to hear your loss..
Big thanks to people on this forum for alerting me to reg fly. Got a dem on that registar that I wouldn't want to lose. Just waiting for regfly to authorise the transfer to GoDaddy now!
good luck with that...but i doubt they will ... there is a huge class action lawsuit going on right now because they haven't been doing what you just requested
According to the icann blog, it'll happen after 5 days unless they block it. I'll report back on whether I am successful or not.
This is the biggest registrar scandal even seen as far as i can remember Some registrars sold throught the years to other companies but their operation and customer base remained unafected from the change Bottom line is that cheap domains are good but never trust a non reliable registrar to keep your names especially if these names are not just to full around RegisterFly and GoDaddy were / are / will be in my avoid to use list
Right said domnom. This happens when cheaper is not really cheap on the longer run. Stick on to decent prices so you get what you pay for!
Go to registerfly - your domain - contact info, you will find it at the bottom the domain contact info page.
You and me both... I've given up and letting the domains I have with them quietly expire and then picking them back up at a different registrar if they're available. I spent weeks trying to get reimbursed for a bulkorder of 50 one word .infos that never went through... It never happened...
You're a fool. I have never had any problems with RegisterFly. I've always received instant replies with my support tickets. Why don't you just call them? I've gotten issues resolved over the phone too. They're not a bad registrar IMO...they just have a bad reputation.
Registerfly is the worst domain registrar I have ever experienced. ICANN has terminated RegisterFly’s accreditation - they can no longer register domains. That alone should tell you how bad things have gotten (I believe it is a first for ICANN). The company is on the verge of bankruptcy according to the owners own statements. I am glad you haven't had any problems with them, but there are thousands of people who have. Last I heard they were trying to sell what is left of the company to someone else. They used to answer support tickets, but I recently had tickets that were 5 months old that went unanswered. Phone calls were 1 1/2 hour hold time. I used to have about 50 domains registered with them - all are now transferred.
HAHAHAHAHA, thats the joke of the day!!! You must be Kevin Medina (head of RF). Only he would say such a thing
So they went back to court after 4/27? "NOTICE TO CONSUMERS: THE INTERNET CORPORATION FOR ASSIGNED NAMES AND NUMBERS, THE NOT-FOR-PROFIT ENTITY THAT ADMINISTERS THE INTERNET’S DOMAIN NAME SYSTEM, HAS ISSUED A NOTICE OF TERMINATION OF THIS COMPANY’S ACCREDITATION TO SERVE AS AN INTERNET DOMAIN REGISTRAR. PLEASE SEE www.icann.org FOR FURTHER INFORMATION." http://www.icann.org/announcements/announcement-27apr07.htm http://www.icann.org/legal/icann-v-registerfly/icann-v-registerfly-prop-order-2may07.pdf
Registerfly provides bad service. I booked 10 domain from them but all of them were still available and next day someone else registered them and i just keep on waiting that it will registered as they deducted that registration fee for 10 domain.
Yes they can sell, but they cannot deliver because they are not paying to ICANN. So they are still taking money without delivering the domain.
Maybe he meant they are not a bad registrar and the worst registrar. Quite friendly reply... Anyways, what about my un answered support requests then ?
Hey man, I owe you a thousand Dollars. Thanks for that info mate. I never checked here. Anyone who needs to transfer their Domains do this.
