what do you think guys will happen with google changing its algorithm? They have inserted google video and youtube video, thus pushing the other results out of the top 10. Does anyone know any strategies getting your site highly ranked using youtube type of videos?
I don't think that will happen all the time. Point is search engines have to falsh what the user searches. What You Search Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) should be their motto. Needless to worry, there is competition alongside.
I think that just to maintain a monopoly on the search results for videos you will never see any videos that aren't part of google video or you tube in the results. Now i dont know that for sure all i know is that I've never had google video search take me anywhere other than google video or you tube.
I've used embedded YouTube visitors to get traffic to websites. I'm not sure, though, how you would get SERP increases or PR bumps from videos.
We can use the youtube videos for just getting the traffic on the website but how we can optimize the site with the help of youtube videos bcz only one option that i see is place the site name in your add and then populate that video so that you site will be promoted..........
I just test to search a term for my own blog, and the result on #11 Google give the Youtube Video ...that I have posted on my blog. That means...if your site/blog contain much more video, Google will put those videos as a result on the result page. When usually we only optimizing for keyword, font, image...now we got new one optimazing onpage for VIDEO.
Although google is that powerful right now, I think that they will become weaker in future. Wikipedia developers are creating a new searchengine, which users give results a value to get better results in future.
the new algo change for google, forces all the marketers to do extra bit now. Guess all of us have to become "Movie Producers" now . ~G

If they can handle their internal problems, it still takes years to perfect a solid, reliable search engine. I hope SOMEBODY does something, cuz, this is ridiculous to have to jump through this many hoops to get a site seen. I feel like I'm working to please Google. It's like an abusive relationship. I'm not happy I'm in it, and I wish I could leave, but there is nowhere else to go.
It's not a new method per se; we've all known for a long time that backlinks are important, and that using social networking sites to build backlinks is a decent way to go. Video is just an extension of that.
Google cannot change its algorithm in such as way that the other webmasters cannot know... Try to create content in all forms - videos, social media sites, Web 2.0 etc...
I agree. Content has always been the King. So there's becoming more and more challenges for SEOs and Internet Marketing professionals - to keep up with the latest changes. I also believe Wikipedia will have a major impact on Future SEO. Lets hope for the best. Cheers, Rajesh
