How fast after I purchase domain can I use it???

    I just purchased a domain for the first time from NameCheap... I was wondering how fast does it usually take before you can use that domain?

    I was using NameAlerts before and I could use it within 15 min after I registered the domain... But for some reason NameCheap is taking alot longer.

    it usually takes 1-2 days to get it activated...after you put the Name Servers and all details.....

    Depends on dc's and when they update for dns propogation. I have reg'd a domain and had it up and running in 15 minutes. Other times can take days.

    whao! 15 minutes :p I've DreamHost hosting any never had any luck to get the site setup in 15 minutes :(
    it takes me around 10 hours I guess

    Wow, maybe I should just stick with NameAlerts because I've purchased over 12 domains with them and all of them I had up within 15 min... Then I just decided to switch to NameCheap and its taking forever

    about 30mins usually at namecheap but it does depend on the time of day and extension

    you can start using the hosting instantly,work with the ip and load the site up
    and domain depends on the dns from about 15 mins to 24hrs
