No offense, but I think that's hilarious... lmfao 1,000 clicks... Apparently they weren't targetted enough. "stick with the niches"... That line makes no sense. You mean "stick with the uncompetitive niches".
I threw up some jumbled keywords in Adwords a couple weeks ago and before QS his I was getting about 6-7 leads per day. Then QS came and it started going downhill so I just paused it, never got around to fixing the campaign yet.
yeah it's a hit and miss game. another hit today for 52. if i could only grow that market it'd be an awesome thing. 3 leads at 150 for the month. will take that
You guys still making good money from this? Even with all the comp? What kind of conversion rate are you getting? I was getting 1:20 before it hit Azoogle
Last october (2006), I got hired for Blockbuster's Total Access program doing technical support. I didn't realize about signing up as an affiliate until January. I bought a few keywords, and after a few weeks cancelled my campaign, don't know what I was thinking. I'm sure I must've checked my sales reports but if I did there must not have been any sales shown, so that can be the only reason I would've stopped my campaign. Last week, I get a deposit in my account for $224.00. I spent a total of $50 on keywords and got these sales within 2-3 weeks. I had about 400 clicks. My merchant at that time was only paying $28. I feel really stupid. I reopened my campaign, even though I understand how things have changed since then. I'm going to see if anything happens within 500 clicks and cancel. According to this thread, it doesn't seem I should even wait for 500 clicks, but I'll just see what happens.
Screw azoogle for opening the door to everyone. They now have smaller networks going through them which eliminates the chances of getting a larger increase on the payout for people like me. I have been promoting blockbuster online for over a year now and it wasn't that saturated but now with azoogle pushing the offer i've seen the competition explode with cpc prices increasing like crazy and more advertisers. It's like the big rush back when ringtones came on to the market. Now I just have to work harder to make money
With Blockbuster's landing page, it doesn't tell you the prices or free trial. If you use the "free trial" link or the $9.99 they're both the same webpages. If customers go elsewhere on the site, are cookies stored? or can you lose credit for a sale?
Yepers. Best thing to do is just find another un-saturated niche, hop on and enjoy the ride while it lasts.
It never hurts to try an offer out for yourself. It takes some tweaking but even when you fail, you learn.
