Don't suppose we could get this piece of advice injected into the genetic code of the human race, could we? You know, make it one of those innate traits in the species.
I know, my question is how google track this rate? Based on advertisers reports? Hmm... that won't be valid IMO. You are absolutely right. A very good point. Yeah, I started to feel I've been way too generous to google Might be the time to start looking for other income sources. I see. Thanks for the info Google keep too many secrets 'eh
If you use google analytics then google has all your conversion data, they don't need you to report it to them
... and im taking analytics off my sites ASAP. lol DARN! I didn't know that... I thought it was for OUR use? Not Googles... *waites to get told how blind/dumb I am*...
The question arises again, then, how do you track conversions on MFAA? There is either no conversion or the conversion that counts to the advertiser is a click on one of his ads. HOW does that get reflected in Analytics? WHAT does google use to determine conversions on sites that don't have a product?
I'm pretty sure that behind the scenes, Google is tracking conversions for all AdWords and AdSense accounts & ads in some way. I'd be shocked if they weren't.
here i am. conversions are tracked by the adwords code that the advertiser puts in his site. not all advertiser use the code or have a need for it.
Thanks...green to you. This tells me that a dirty MFAA (redundant?) could still set up a bogus conversion in order to try to get their clicks even cheaper. If a publisher does NOT setup a conversion, I would suspect and hope that no smartpricing could occur as a result of conversions or lack thereof on that particular site.
nope, I never did. You can define them for sales, hits or even new message board subscriptions, but those things either don't apply to my site, or the data wouldn't be of any real use to me for my case.
Personally I think Google doesn't smart price sites at all. I think Google uses good CPM as bait to hook us initially then lowers the CPC.
Did you ever saw the url of adwords advertisers. I saw a conversion tracking cookie as a part of the url multiple times. Its not CPA. it seems they provide a way to track your conversations and google might have been recording this for their own benefit
How about adbrite? Well I have been using both adbrite and adsense and I do better with the later but I have heard that if you can manage to sell text links on adbrite then you can get better cash
Doubtful. Ever heard of quality score for Adwords advertisers? If you don't convert, you pay more. Either way, no conversion means Google makes more What a fantastic business model Google put together for themselves here. I wish I had a business that makes more money if nothing is being sold
