Moral Courage on DP

Let me explain a simple concept to you all. If you have courage, you will tell someone something like it is, despite who agrees or disagrees. You won't pander to other views or be a sycophant.

Now then, if you have the courage to green rep someone and include your name, but then red rep someone in a totally unrelated topic about something in general chat without including your name - you show that you have absolutely no moral courage and thus shouldn't rep anyone. It is that simple. The reason you cannot rep in general chat is that it is General Chat and not a business topic, help topic, but an opinion topic.

Opinions do not warrant green or red rep point - but counter opinions. It's not a hard concept and most of you get it. But a few of you, unable to determine reality it seems, are bent on the distribution of red reps for things to disagree with here in completely unrelated topics that are impossible to red rep for any other reason such as offering help in a help topic.

So to the few who are unable to comprehend the totality of how the setup goes: Grow up and be adults, get some courage to counter post and if you do give red, don't be yellow bellied about it. Put your name.

I usually sign with my name after a rep is given. Of course many red cards too. ;)

I know many people have the courage to do that - this isn't directed toward them.

This is directed to those who go out of their way to red rep you for a gen. chat post by going to your business topic, or your help topics, and then red repping you there.

Would be nice if it would just show who repped who in the first place but that is disabled.

I agree though. People should sign their name for any rep given.

Yeah, would be nice to know who your friends are if they'd just sign the rep, good or bad.. it's the sensible thing to do anyway but alot don't do it. I have over 5000 rep points in another forum and less than 75% are signed.

The only instance I can se myself giving red is if someone is trying to scam me/us. I would never give a guy red in "General". You are right.

Come on, guys, on topic, please! This is not about signing your "rep"

    Rally the troops!

It's disgusting to think some would be so sickly motivated to go out of their way to red rep an opinion instead of posting a counter opinion. I'm sure the person who has been redding me know who they are, and they're 'prolly giggling in their underpants with a bowel full of pizza supporting a bowl of ice cream that they're sucking down like there is no tomorrow.

One of them reds me every couple of days. Same quote, like clockwork. They can't debate so they do this.

    YART

*yawn* Never understood why some people want to cry when they get a red rep.

But hey, you can always give the tourette girl a call (you know who, the one that likes to take photos of herself in her underwear to show them on the web) and have her come here and bark like crazy to defend your rights.

Maybe because it can affect you ability to have sig links and live links. And when people go outside P&R and general chat to repeated red rep posts, it smacks of neofascism.

    *has made a difference*

I am not crying about getting a red, I am advocating the proper usage of the rep system. Only Communists red rep general chat posts - by red repping a post NOT in general chat.
