Hi I am trying to see if any is using analytics with Adwords and could help! :)

I just linked an Adwords account with a Analytics account and I am just wondering.

    A) Do you need to do anything else like add parameters on the URL etc. or Adwords sent the data directly onto the analytics?

    B) Do I need to set up separate Goals for the Adwords campaign?

Thanks a lot for your help! the new interface seemed nice but its a bit tricky!

    Cheers

You do have to define your goals separately in Analytics, usually by a defined navigational funnel to a specific URL -- a thank you for purchasing/signing up/contact info submission page.

If you are using the same login and you already checked the box, it should pic up the info. Look for Google[cpc] date verse Google[organic] in your reports to get your AdWords metrics.

I have done this! My problem is that I want to see the amount of purchase for each basket! I am trying through e-commerce (the new part on the latest interface) but its shows me the total (organic and paid)!
