I have someone trying to send me some jpeg images. Their using a Mac and I'm on a PC and I cant open the files.

Anybody know what the issue is and a solution. Must the Mac user save the jpeg a certain way to make them compatible?

There is no difference between a JPEG image from a Mac or the PC. JPEG is OS-independent. It is possible that the files was damaged during transfer or something. Ask him to resend.

You're right, they were probably corrupted in the transfer. But for the record, older Macs used a different gamma than PCs and newer Macs ( which are basically PCs ). This wouldn't make a file unreadable, but it would make it darker, with muted colors.
