A great way to give the site a real boost is that every member could give it a free link and a blog post.
My goal is it would be run for as little as possible. e.g ways to promote for free, ways to do this for free. ways to do that for free. like quest said, a free link from each memeber or blog posting a a great way to achieve it or createa "buzz" for it.
Why don't we put a back link to one of the participating members site on the web site. In other words if your in this project your web site gets a link.
By combining our knowledge and ideas we have the chance of achieving something great... and learning things from each other that we can use to improve our own sites too!
Is this idea still going? If everyone who contributed to the site and those who just want to help, gave us a free backlink to the site it could do well.
It really could, I do see this working out well for everyone if we all just offer what we are good at or can do for the project. Being a premium publisher doesn't matter to me I will get that someday and would rather do it on my own then get in the back door. I just want to be a part of this as it sounds like alot of fun. I think we should just go for page views and make earning from adsense a group deal instead of all of us struggling if we all help each other we could all have high earnings from our group websites just by adding a rotation script of some sort
how do you deliver 666,667 page impressions a day? Bandwidth, hardware, loadballencing, distributed systems etc. As this is a single site, if its a community is everybody going to put that much time and effort into it so that 1 person may or may not get a premium account? 2ndly i doubt your going to do this with any ordinary site, your going to have to make something really unique to attract that much traffic. And its going to be an awful lot of work. (to give you an idea of what 20million impressions is.. thats 8 pages every second. How many concurrents is that? (probably in the thousands)) Pierce Pierce
