the rules are different for different countries, since you are getting money from all parts of the world, i guess a proper license for doing this internet ecommerce business is very much required! in india am planning to get some papers done, i need some tax etc stuffs done!
In US you need a license for every registered business and every license has its own terms and restrictions like for example not everyone can go get a Barber Shop license and you need to be qualified to get one however getting a Cell phone store license is as easy as filling an application for it. I have multiple licenses Not going to share
Licenses tend to be a local requirement. In my case they were concerned about zoning and fire code issues. How much traffic will come by your house, will you store any hazardous chemicals, etc. It also gives them a reason to collect $40 without doing anything.
Isn't that the truth. They are a local issue. You do not need a license for Federal purposes for an Internet business. My State does not require one either but yours might. The local leeches want their fee for any business.
