Hello, In a popular forum there was a debate about how anchor text should be written for maximum effect. Some guys said that the keyword phrase must be joined together less it will give best impact on google. And there were others who disagreed. For example, let’s say the keyword is pay pay click affiliate. So which of the 3 ‘styles’ should be used as anchor text pointing to my website in articles? Pay-pay-click-affiliate Paypayclickaffiliate pay pay click affiliate Thanks. Awaiting your reply
my vote is for: pay pay click affiliate The others are harder to read from a user point of view. Google is all about the users so id expect them to reflect this in their algo.
Write as natural as you can. One thing not to do is to play tricks with search engines. Search engines are far smarter than we give them credit for. So, just go by the basic writing principles and you will do fine.
Probably all three to avoid setting off a red flag for having the exact same anchor text popping up left and right in places where that doesn't make sense.e
Absolutely Anchor text means words that are embedded in the content naturally.. so it is pretty artificial to have Pay-pay-click-affiliate in an article...
Yes I think it depends on what you want to do and what your visitor wants. But IMO I think the pay pay click affiliate is the best. Hyphens aren't so friendly.
no hyphens but also change the wording when possible so that you don't have all your anchor text the same and going to the same page for the most 'natural' appearance for the se's I would even take out the double word.. pay click affiliate pay per click affiliate paying per click affiliate affiliate pay per click As another poster said, you use the terms you think users would search on. Lisa
Kaediem and others said it best. Just think natural linguistics. It's what keeps smart english-speaking SEOs in business.
are you sure that the hyphens are good in anchor text i'm a bit confused for this. i think the best anchor text is the 3th one
if your thinking of doing pay-per-click-affiliate just because you have too many without the hyphens then add another keyword or mix it up pay per click affiliates pay per click affiliate program pay per click affiliate partners PPC affiliate PPC affiliate program etc. keep mixing it up and adding differnet anchors.
Well, I agree and disagree It all depends where are you placing the anchor text. If it is being placed in a directory, article, or permanent listing then definitely go with Pay Per Click Affiliate, but if you are placing it in Adwords or other ppc program then I would play with the words, hypens, etc. and see which yields the best results then move forward from there. Its probably a good idea to test the waters by placing bids on Adwords for the keywords, that will tell you which is most effective. Good luck!
I would say that pay pay click affiliate is the best among those because each single word should be typed in the most natural order, or so I think. It could be "affiliate pay per click". But you shouldn't mess the order of "pay per click" because that's the one many would type and search. Ultimately G can recognize all of these because they recognize each word. But pay per click is often used as PPC, so using this is also effective. In a better SEO, you should use all of those keywords suggested by people above. Mixing with other related keywords, different combination is also something you want to think about
there can be spaces. no trouble with that. anchor texts are compared as to how users typed in search terms.
some people say google can not seperate the word by itself, but for some reason they seperate my keywords autometically. so i would say like other that put the anchor text the same way people type in search engine is the best.
