I run a message board that has many many topics. When google crawls and caches that page, it is indexed. However, what happens if I delete the thread that was indexed? Will google then take it out of the index? Thanks!
Deleteing it is the last thing you wanna do, unless it's for example SPAM!! Google will come back, unless you get banned.
well, yes surely. as the page will recorded as it is when google sees it - if a thread isn't there it won't be picked up by google.
Oh ok. So in a few days, it will go back to that index page to update, and if nothing is there, then the index goes away? Makes sense.
ya, any kind of changes and updates can done before cached date. If the page removed then in new cache it going to the suppliment result.
It will take a while for it to completely disappear, especially if the page was in the supplemental index. But in general, Google comes back regularly to all the pages in its index. That could be every day or every month, but they want to know what's on the web, and that means being aware of changes.
if you deleted it. google will deindexed it later after it found that the page doesn't existed. if the page still online, yeah the bot will come back to check for update on page.
