Hello, sadly my site hasn't been crawled for 40 days, even though it has a lot of backlinks.

    What has happened?

    www.paypalpoker.net - My site.

I have tried re-submitting my site map, but it is not accepting it.

REP + TO ANY HELPFUL ANSWERS.

You need to see if it is generating errors on your sitemap, and if it is, it should tell you what it's getting stuck on. When my sitemap errors out, it usually cannot read the url to one of your pages. Also, if you site hasn't been crawled in that long, have you been adding new content in that time? I know Google will not crawl my proxy as much because it doesn't really change content all that much.

Funny this topic should come up. I came here to ask for information on a blog I just took over. It started out as a blog for a Family but fizzled quickly. It had been sitting since Dec. of 2006.

I took it over about 2 weeks ago and found out that Googlebot hasn't visited the site since March. I've changed the themes on it and trashed the half dozen or so post that were on it and have made about a dozen new post of my own, but to date, no Googlebot visit.

Any help on how to lure Googlebot to my new site? I've linked to it from existing sites and resubmitted it, but no luck!

How often do you change your web site? You need to have fresh content for them to crawl your site.

    Hey,

    Two issues:

    1. As mentioned before - the number of links you have in not enough. Before buying links, try to develop some kind of relationships with other web sites that deals with the same topic.

    2. You hvae only 19 pages indexed by Google. I would recommend that you update your content more in a higher frequency and add 3-5 new pages a month.

    Hope it helps,
    Gili

Yup it definitively is the poor linking, the 3 sites shown in Google that you are linked are without PR and one is PR3 (but you can't tell how often they gets crawled).

Have you by any chance played with .htaccess for blocking malicious spybots?
