    Goooood Morning DP,

I was just wondering your thoughts on what is better. 1 niche site...or a large site with multiple niche areas?

    Pro's vs Cons?
    Better With SERPS?
    Worse With SERPS?
    Better with adsense?
    Worse with adsense?
    More Traffic?
    Less Traffic?

    Thanks
    -Tim

This depends on the quality of the niche. If you have a BRILLIANT niche (highly searched, low competition) I would develope this as it may do better.

If the one niche isn't too stronge, then several niche areas would probably be the safest way to go.

I'm about to set up a site it's not based on a particular niche but one main theme.

Maybe the site could grow to into other things.

Thats basically my thoughts as well..im accumulating many many domains over time...and i need to stop buying them to profit! lol so im wondering if it worth creating a solid general site, with the scalability and options to niche itself out like spider legs w00t

www.bluehatseo.com has some killer posts on that. he favors many smaller sites over one big site that covers all seo.

its a great blog though you should check it out.

You can start with one main niche and then add other niche later. if the tendency of other niche is grow higher, just switch to other main niche XD.

both approaches work - if you can devote time to promote smaller sites better, go for it - else focus on one main site.

small niche site is better than big many niche site...when you have a few niches , the optimization for that niche gets diluted and crossed with other niches helping to lose its valuation

That's true. If you have quite a lot of time, you could develop several related topic that help one another. But then again, it requires a lot of works and time.
